Yup that does look like a tempting deal.MouldyOldDough said:Talkmobile 60Gb for £7.95 - Vodafone network - never had any issue with them....
On another hand, if roaming in the EU is important to you, it's worth keeping in mind Talkmobile's fair-use limit during roaming is only 5GB, much smaller than Lebara's (30GB), 1p Mobile's (14GB), or iD Mobile's (usually 30GB but currently unlimited ie up to your UK allowance).0 -
I've never seen a "cheap" provider offer unlimited roaming and I'm often looking. One of the reasons I'm still with O2. Can you point to details of the ID mobile offering as on their website it still just says 30Gbfiish said:

I agree it's confusing - if you visit their fair usage policy page ( https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/eu-roaming/fair-usage-policy ) it has a banner saying there's a promotion going on where the limit is waived. On another hand most other pages on the website when mentioning roaming indicate the fair usage limit is 30GB.robatwork said:

13 sets of Ts&Cs for pay monthly! Their (ID) website is a bit of a shambles to be honest, and so couched in get-outs that they can remove the unlimited for anyone who actually uses it.
Shame there are no providers who actually do flat roaming sims, so I'll stick to buying a local PAYG sim when I travel where there are genuine unlimited options0 -
Fixed - it was an automatic link, and it needs a space to not capture the parenthesis.flaneurs_lobster said:

£30 RWG
It worked perfectly.
It only worked in the eu,hence the big allowance.1 -
I am in a similar situation. Just got a new 'basic type' phone (nokia 105 4G), don't need (or want) Internet, simply want to use for incoming texts/calls. Happy to make a call/text every 6 months. But I definitely want to keep my current mobile number. Any network considered apart from Tesco Mobile. Please advise. Thank you in advance.flaneurs_lobster said:
Are you happy to change networks? If Vodafone coverage is OK then you could get yourself an Asda Mobile SIM (free from their website), top-up for a fiver - acts as a standard PAYG as long as you make a call/text at least every six months.VoucherMan said:Hopefully an easy question for many. After a sim card failure, I'm thinking of upgrading my very occasional use phone from 2G to 4G. I've not yet found any decent PAYG sims, or networks though. Do they still exist for 4G, where you only pay when you actually use the phone? My existing O2 network sim has been going for years, with just the occasional top-up. According to the guide on here though, it's £5 a month just to have an emergency phone sat on the shelf with 4G! Or am I looking at the wrong guide?
A Giffgaff SIM will work too, is on the O2 network, minimum top-up is £10.0 -
If the problem with Tesco Mobile is NOT that it runs on O2, then what about Sky Mobile @ £1/mth? It's a PAYM so does mean a contract but you get unlimited calls/texts (& 1GB of unwanted data).1

Piggybacking on O2 is/would be OK, my problem with TM is abysmal customer service. Please forgive my ignorance, but what is the catch with Sky £1 per month...? Would I be able to renew again in 12 months? ... Do old-school PAYG deals still exist anywhere ?flaneurs_lobster said:If the problem with Tesco Mobile is NOT that it runs on O2, then what about Sky Mobile @ £1/mth?
