  • Get the new deal via the dealer, get PAC from 3 for existing cntract, use PAC to change existing number to PAYG sim from a different network, gat PAC from that network and switch back to the new three contract; the old one will have ended when you exercised to first PAC. Or do as I do and just use the new number.

If you decide to PAC out and PAC back to Three.
Consider signing it up with mobilephonesdirect

unlimited data work out £12 after cashback
12GB data is £6 after cashback

Even you can't be bother to claim manually, £18 unlimited & £10 12GB is still cheaper than sign up to three direct.

    Quidco/ TCB got extra £10
  • Thanks, That seems fairly do-able. I can't change my number as few businesses are linked to it and much bigger hassle to update all of it.
  • That's the exact deal I was eyeing for :) I am already with unlimited calls and pay 20 per month. If I take cashback, through TCB and Mobilephones direct, I get the same deal for 2 per month less. Total savings equate to 107.5 which is really sweet :)

I've been with Three for years.
Was paying £9.23 per month for 4gb + unlimited texts n calls.Contract came up for renewal in october, the best deal they'd offer me was £9 so I accepted.
2 months later it appears they haven't implemented that deal and they intend putting me on a rolling contract at a cost of £14 per month.

Almost the same but they haven't offered the £9 deal.

Anyone here know if I switch to a network that piggybacks on Three (eg. id mobile) will my Home Signal box continue to work?

Have you contacted Vodafone to check what they can offer you? They must have a "thinking of leaving/customer retention" option?
Check some new customer deals with them and other operators then see if they will either match or almost match those deals. Don't necessarily accept the first offer either.
  • I just clicked to check out the offer on the site for ChatChit. Although it's advertised on MSE for £11.50, when I clicked through it was only £8.40.

I've ordered one for me and my daughter so will update this post once (if) recieved.

OH has Samsung galaxy 7 long out of plan - with 4gb on business plan. Was EE recently became BT. Costing him £41 per month. His circs have changed and he no longer needs hotspot he used previously. Went into BT/ee today to discuss options. Was offered Samsung A80 with 2gb on business plan for £39 month or non business plan for £44 month. No sim only available. Any suggestions? He basically needs unlimited phones and text, 2gb data, ability to run several small apps no games, good camera and good battery life. Oh and good coverage of course. Are there any suitable sim only deals out there which will run on his G7.?
  • Lots of cashback contracts with a phone for a fraction of that. I never understand why anyone anything substantial for a bundle. I invariably sell the phone as soon as it arrives. This is just a quick example, but there are even cheaper ones:-
