Hi
I did the 3 deal at £8/month for 8gb but also applied through Quidco, which paid £42 cashback therefore reducing the monthly cost down to £4.50 over a 12 month period! Super bargain.

Just renewed 3 sim only 12 month contract. Was offered new 8gb 12 month for £11, but MSE had flagged up an 8gb for £8 month on 3..but only for newbies. Followed MSE advice, phoned up 3 and haggled. Expained I had been loyal customer for number of years. Result?...got the newbies deal. Cut my monthly cost, compared to previous contract and doubled my data. Unlimited mins and text included.0

Smarty offer great deals with refunds for unused data plus you can setup group accounts where all members get 10% off their plan cost.0

Normally MSE offers deals that can't be beaten via Quidco or anywhere else but the current 3 £8 8gb deal with £10 cashback through Fonehouse can be beaten simply by following the link but then click "SIM ONLY" at the top of the Fonehouse page, then scroll down to see the same £8 8gb deal but with £60 cashback, works out to £3 a month although it's one of those wriggly "claim in the following months" arrangements.Signature on holiday for two weeks0

Not my experience that anyone - MSE or otherwise - can beat a cashback deal.0

For many of us who regularly travel to Europe ROAMING is a key feature of any deal and yet MSE rarely flags this in their "Best Buys".
Being able to access the internet abroad at no extra cost; being able to make free calls to the UK, all add to features that some value above the basic price.
That's why I'm with my current SIM provider NOT the one recomnended by MSE.0 -

Except that they do...

and even for PAYG:-

No. The MSE Money Tips email that I just got make little mention of ROAMING or the cost of calls while abroad.
To make a valid comparison you have to delve into the details of each plan. To me that makes the recommendations a bit redundant.0 -
