Thrifty It's money owed by an individual to my business. It's for services to be carried out. Think of it like booking a flight. You wouldn't expect to tell Easy jet you intend to travel with them on X date but then not pay.
Yorkshire I know. And the irritating point is she is trying to emotionally blackmail me. I want the money, so she knows I won't be going anywhere if she doesn't pay it...
Bob - Sorry to hear about your payment situation - it must be doubly distressing when you are really relying on the money. Karma may pay her back someday!
Yesterday was a nice NSD as predicted so up to 10 out of 13 days for the month so far on the Civilian mandate!
Today was no so good - I've just looked at my latest mobile invoice and have had to pay an extra £8 this month. I totally forgot that I arranged for a "bolt on" for international calls/texts, etc on the mobile when I was abroad recently so up it popped this month!
I also had a new pair of winter boots on my list this month, but have been oohing and aahing over buying them yet. When I got in last night I found that Marisota had sent me a discount code for 30%. I felt I really couldn't leave it any longer as the code was only valid for five days so I ordered a pair and also a pair of leggings that were exactly the colour and material I have wanted for a while!

Evening all
WTBSE - brilliant news on the appeal :j
Bob - really hope you get your cash
Quiet day for me. Work is busy, and it's a tough week in terms of workload and behaviour of the kids. So another nsd for me today - I'm doing pretty well this month. My Christmas shopping is mostly done so I just need time to get finished with the knitting and crochet. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Counting a NSD today - picked up milk for DH, but I had a MrT coupon so free:D People still not got back about Sunday, so cooking and therefore shopping pushed back.
I wouldn't be stressed as there is plenty ready to nuke in the freezer for any carnivore, or even vegetarian, just not vegan. I have some smoked tofu, so will just need veg to round out a curry, and I do need storecupboard staples, but they would wait until the weekend, or until we run out of toilet roll, whichever comes first:rotfl:

It was really cold and windy but we managed quite a bit of walking and had a couple of really nice meals paid from the holiday budget (using 40% off vouchers).
No NSDs for me so far this week I'm afraid but spending was minimal and I'm well within budget for the month.
Off now to try and clear some of the devastation caused by my son in our absence.
Hope you had a lovely time.
Thank you SeasideGal and Cat

The meh feeling from last Thursday and the overheating earlier this week (had to keep turning the bedclothes back to cool down and it wasn't hot, I was) have morphed into a miserable cold. had a doctor's appointment at 5pm so geared the whole day around that and came straight back to bed when I got home.
Didn't get to sleep last night so went downstairs at 6am and did more cleaning/ processing washing up and cooked Mexican rice salad and Butterbean casserole and mixed tuna and sweetcorn with a little mayo and some salad dressing for sandwiches.
Set off in time to walk to the doctor's but after taking books back to the library and on into the Town Centre (bought a meal deal with my 'points') I gave up the struggle and went the 2 blocks to the taxi place. May fail on NSDs this week unless it can count as medical. I have committments the next 2 days and if I can't walk I will have to do the £1 each way bus hop - so 3 days of spending without getting any food etc.
Mum phoned me to say she may have to go into hospital - she saw the new doctor today and he sent her to have her blood, heart function etc checked (luckily it's one of the days her partner goes to the day centre). She has to go back tomorrow to see if she can be treated at home or will have to go in to the hospital (probably 8 miles away). Then the fun will begin as her partner needs someone their 24 hours of the day. We have discussed it, as tactfully as possible, but not sure if his family will step up or put more pressure on mum.
Today I am grateful for sleep, for good reading material and for getting my cooking mojo back (bacon soup and butterbean casserole may get me through the next few days.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Mothernerd - a taxi to a GP appointment counts as medical in my eyes.
Sorry to hear your mum is not well and how awful of her partners family to try and persuade her not to go as they cannot be bothered to care for him.
Reporting in 2 NSD's for yesterday and today.
Not sure when I will need to shop this week, may get away with this weekend.
Am using up items in the cupboard still, today was stirfry using some pork left from roast on Sunday and noodles which I brought yonks ago but the kids did not like the flavour so even though the flavouring is in a sachet they never cooked them.
I have had 8 packets of them sat in the cupboard with expiry dates of July and Aug (think that shows how long they have been there) but have been using them over last 4 weeks. Just 2 packets left so as we have more pork left will do another stir fry and use up the last of the noddles - woohoo!!
Well done everyone - you are all doing so well this month (even those who have visited the naughty step!!)0 -
Hi turtles,
Yesterday was a planned spend day as we did the weekly shop. Got a chicken from ald! that is being stretched for yesterday's roast chicken, today's stew, tomorrow chicken wraps, and possibly a stir fry on Thursday.
Today has been a NSD. Lots of little orders coming in now for my Christmas items so that's keeping me busy and out of trouble!0
