  • First NSD this week and seven this month now.

Not much to report. Just spent the day catching up with house work. Seems to be quite a lot needing done here and not getting much help from the other two,

We're all having different dinners from the freezer tonight but C is making his own so at least that's something.

    Hopefully be more motivated tomorrow.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

Needed black bags and milk today. Also got some craft supplies as I'm planning on making christmas cards.

Was going to meet my friend for a coffee today but I'm going to hers for tea on Friday instead. I've got my appraisal at work tomorrow so need to spend some time tonight prepping for it. Also need to clean the flat and do the ironing so a boring evening ahead.

I've sold quite a few ebay items today, all bar one have been paid for and are now posted too. The money has all gone into our savings account - I feel very grown up.

Had my grocery delivery today with a total of £13 off in vouchers and a lovely free sample (Sainsburys are good with samples on deliveries) of a curry kit. I am still going to Sainsburys tonight as we are using a combination of vouchers so I am just spending the minimum to use the voucher each time. I still have one more grocery shop from Novembers budget and it is going to have to be a small one.

Forgot to say that DH has brought home several boxes of Christmas cards today - 124 cards in total. They were thrown out by a card shop he goes to for work, they do it all the time, we still have last years stash plus loads of notebooks that he brought home ages ago.

Has the world gone mad - precious resources are used to make things and then they are chucked out when brand new. Surely market traders would buy last years stock.

Mothernerd I'm sorry you are poorly again. It must be very frustrating when you have so much organising to do after your new arrival. I'm sorry to hear about your Mum too. Hope she doesn't have to go in.

Elephant 'Pimp my instant noodles' is a thing, I've seen blogs about it. Happy to try and dig one out if of intereat. Roast pork sounds good in any case.

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi All

NSD 11 here. Will have to spend tommorow as need food and travel top up.

Thrifty I need to clarify something. I sold an item today for £50. It was from my old business. Does that count as free money or not?

I was delighted to find a £1 coin today. And a penny. I used the £1 to buy a loaf and a packet of biscuits and had 10p change. Thanks floor!

I did have to spend for the business today because my boiler was acting iffy. I was very lucky that I got the plumber in at such short notice, he came in the hour! Apparently my boiler therm had dropped so he released some water into the tank and all was well. He said my pump was red hot and would have broken if left untreated. Apparently you need to do the boiler top up thing 3 times a year. Take note Turtles! A new pump would have been £120 plus labour. Today cost me £40. Which I used my cash made on the item sale to pay for.

Thrifty Rubber chicken is an art. Best way about it is to decide before hand how many meals you want to get out of it and portion as soon as it's cooked. I'm sure you don't do it anyway but never take the whole bird to the table or you've had it :)

bob i guess it's just like selling anything else on ebay.

The chicken shrunk quite a bit in the slow cooker. Kids (2 and 5) had a leg each. Some got pot munched by me and DH so only just under two breasts left for our dinner, fajitas. Can't really imaging less than a breast each :( will see what i can do later, trying to safe enough for two portions of noodle soup

Will reply more tomorrow, busy night ahead.

Thrifty I have never paid attention to this before so I don't know what people clarify their eBay sales as. For example if you set all your budgets and stick to them, but sell an item, then surely that is free money in the sense it hasn't come out of your pre approved budget? Personally I'd put it on debt repayment if possible, my free money paid a plumber! But just interested in others interpretation.

Yes, that's fine. I guess it's like using vouchers for shopping and doesn't get counted as a spend.
