    Great news WTBSE! :)

Small spend at Smkt here today - couldn't find red cabbage at the weekend, so bought one and a lemon and cream (for baking) this morning. Ooops! Will add spends to signature :) Also sent £38 on Amaz0n for things for DD - all from her wishlist and paid for with my amazon balance (all from tcb - so free! :D)

Have made lentil and carrot soup, more maple & banana flapjacks (last batch so scrummy it disappeared too quickly!!) (have now used up all maple syrup, though) and a white loaf today. Planning some apple and pear chutney later in week to use up some of the fruit glut. Think I have all ingredients except raisins (have been using them up in flapjacks! :D) so will substitute prunes - should work out ok if I finely dice them and use less!! Can also then give some of the chutney away for Xmas :)

  • Huge well done WTBSE. Crazy to think they couldn't understand your reasoning in the first place and saved both you and them the hassle.

greent - Very productive and you've got me salivating. Incredibly MSE of you.

greent - your baking sounds yummy.

Well I have spent today. Me and DH had a peruse around the CS, I have been after a new handbag for a while and got a brand spanking new leather bag in a Birkin style for £3.99, when I got it home and started to transfer my things across I found a matching leather purse I didn't know was there.

I also got some knitted, mustard coloured leg warmers to wear with my boots and also got DD some Next skinny jeans. I resisted buying lots of lovely jumpers though in my defence.

  • Hi there. I'm back. Going for military this eek, and I'm hoping to avoid a shop until Thursday. DH goes straight back onto nights, so he's in bed all day, and I am going on a diet.

NSD 1 today. Was going to pick up milk for DH's cereal, but I have breakfast casserole in the freezer so he can have that when he gets in. Made bread, and had cheese already. Dinners are sorted - all HM Ready Meals in individual portions with frozen veg.

Was due to have guests on Saturday. Now, possibly Sunday. But I'm not buying anything for that until we have it confirmed.

Right. I've been up since 1000 yesterday, and I'm working tomorrow. Going to make DH sandwiches for tonight and prep my breakfast and lunch sandwiches head for bed.

    Night turtles.

Poured down all day, typical Cumbrian weather!
Did a few bits of housework and then discovered that someone had left a tissue in a pocket after I had done the washing:mad:
As I live on my own I guess that person was me.
Nothing else to report.Eating leftovers today and have meals planned for the next couple of days.
Still trying to declutter crafty stuff but will wait until after Christmas now before I e-bay anything.

A NSD again. Not done much. Very tired from doing the kitchen and cooked bacon soup last night - I will make room in the freezer, somehow.

Today I am grateful for my new hip (it was 2 yo yesterday but it didn't get a cake), it gets more mobile all the time, suddenly notice I have moved in a way I haven't been able to for some time. Also grateful for my pea shoots which are 6-7 inches tall and for aquiet relaxing day.

A NSD for me too, couldn't be bothered going shopping for christmas presents after work. Heading to bed soon as feeling pretty tired, just going to prep tomorrow's lunch first.

I won my appeal to get my son free school transport! :j
We were told back in September that he wouldn't be eligible for free school transport, as we voluntarily moved out of the pick up zone.

But i appealed this, because the only reason we moved was to be closer to my sons treatment team (he is disabled).

So they just informed me i won the appeal, and he will get free transport until 2020! That will save me £48 a month :) Not much money to some, but it's quite a bit for me!

    That is great WTBSE:T

    Aiming for NSD 10 today

Have to attend a workman visit at the business at 10.30. Really hoping he can work his magic as the alternative is buying a new piece of equipment. And I am on a deadline because it is needed for the end of this week.

I am also very annoyed because someone owes me money and I had it out with them last week and spelled out the consequences, and I was assured it would be with me (somewhat bad temperedly/passive aggressively) and yet it is now Tuesday and no sign....I genuinely don't know what else I can do. I feel giving them more time is taking the pee but I don't want to get into an aggressive situation.

DS was saying he felt unwell first thing this morning, but he only just had a day off sick last week so we've sent him in. He didn't seem ill to me just tired. May live to regret that decision but they can always call me....
