Epic spend day today; carpet for DS room, 7 sockets/light switches for the kitchen, winter boots and a woolly hat for DS, a woolly hat for me, a haircut, car parking, a tape measure and small spirit level, beer, crisps, some ys eggs, a very long curtain track and an elf on the shelf!
I am also about to order some Christmas baubles and a teacher Christmas gift on line. I was hoping for a NSD tomorrow but I forgot to buy sandwich bags and I will need them to pack some food stuffs for my trip away.
Fell off my healthy eating plan today and ate a big bag of crisps and drank 2 beersFail to prepare, prepare to fail. I have also missed a PT session as DH was too ill to go. I have lost 4 lbs though
Next week I am going to concentrate on 5 shore exercise sessions and following the principles if not the letter of the plan. There is no fridge or microwave and I am living out of a suitcase so my options are limited!

Morning all  :coffee:
Busy as ever - there is so much stuff going on. I'm tired and just really hoping to survive until Christmas. I've only had one spend day this week - Friday I got petrol and spent £33 in L1dl for the week's shopping. As Christmas is rapidly approaching I have been spending a lot of time on my craft stuff. May have bitten off more than I can chew thereStill, I'm not a quitter and I haven't given up yet...
Calling - hope that you are doing ok. Well done having the guts to walk away...
Mothernerd - I always love reading what you've been up to. You get so much stuff done all of the time! Not giving up

So pleased with last week, but it could have been better... I got my 3 NSDs, but it could have been 4 if I hadn't needed to buy an onion at 10p. Gutted.
I have an amazing stash of toiletries, which I can work my way through. I'm definitely a hoarder of them and books. I have loads of both and a penchant for buying more.
Today is "big shop" day, but that means that I should rack up more NSDs easily this week.
Edited to add: At work, we're expected to do a lunch duty or two each week. I have signed up for two per week. This means that I get a tiny amount of pay for each one AND a free lunch on each of my duty days. The other 3 days, I always take in a salad or soup. Bearing in mind I was looking at own brand socks and comparing only this (not posh branded stuff) that I realised that for the same sock material content and same brand the men's socks were cheaper! I have been known to buy men's tshirts without knowing they were mens so I guess anything I fancy that is a base layer is fair game! ha ha - gloves/scarves/jumpers/socks - lots of possibilities!:money:
I'm going to make sure i look around at the Men's department from now on, and compare it to the ladies!
I have bought some men's hoodies before, just for wearing around the house to keep warm in the winter, and they can be so cosy!
I'm aiming for military next week, since i failed this week. So i shall remind myself what the rules are again, and make sure I'm prepared.0 -
Rest of shopping done this morning - sig updated. Also bought smallest 2 boys a pair of thick lined trackies each for PE at school - definitely needed for outdoor PE in this weather!
Chilly day here so I think that (after 2 Remembrance church services this morning and shopping) we're hunkering down for the day as much as possible and just doing things like finishing homework, doing some ironing (keeps me warm!) and sorting dinner for later
Have a good Sundayx

The hoarders and decluttering threads are filled with people despearately trying to get control and many have it as a personal challenge in their diaries. You may have seen the anacronym SABLE in some people's signatures - it stands for stash accumulated beyond life expectancy.
OMG - I am so a SABLE then! Mind you I did manage NOT to spend any money yesterday and so far it is looking like a NSD today. You have given me an idea. I will be doing some writing today and then I will be going through my UFO's (unfinished objects) and sorting them out into doable things. Then I will make a list of all the projects I have and all the fabric and wool. That way if I am tempted when I go to Harrogate's Knitting & Stitching show I can refer to my BUJO (bullet journal) and cross reference my craft page which I am going to name SABLE and hopefully that will result in a significantly less spend than anticipated!
Oops - just remembered I am meant to be making Christmas puddings today and will need to buy a few ingredients. Oh well it is going to be a spend day after all!Well lets see - I dip in and out of MSE all the time but I still come back - have done since 2007!!!

Hi All
NSD 9. Wombled a McBean which was the last one I needed to get a free drink. I haven't paid for any beans all found so claiming £2.50 for that. I actually dislike their coffee but needa mustor I might treat my son to a hot choc.
Found 16p roadkill.
Have managed 2 loads of washing, 2 hours of walking and have still got to do an hours cycling over to the business and back to do. So a healthy day all told.
DS currently hooked on his birthday game (Lego Dimensions) but needs to get on with his homework shortly. Birthday or not
Night all

Afternoon everyone
Another NSD today. Also went for a 5K run.
Not much more to report.
I am looking into doing some more batch cooking tomorrow, and also doing some baking. I have limited butter, but heard that i can replace it with another fat like oil. Does anyone know if this is true?0 -
Hi guys
I know some of you on here are teachers. A lady called Safehouse who has a diary in the debt free wannabe section ' One day at a time' has had a very toxic situation with her DS being bullied by a lecturer. If any of you could pop over and lend any support she would be very grateful.

I have a carrot cake recipe (Crank's) that uses oil instead of hard fats - it's lovely and healthier too.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0
