  • Morning all :coffee:
    Sorry for disappearing off the face of the Earth but I have discovered a whole new level of tired that I didn't even know existed. Wednesday was late night finish at work due to open evening, and on Thursday morning I was greeted with my first manflu of the year. On top of already feeling tired I am completely wiped out at the moment and not getting much of anything done to be honest.
    I did get the big monthly shop done yesterday though. So I'm hopeful that will keep us going for a bit. I should try and force myself to get on and do some batch cooking this afternoon but I'd be lying if I said I felt like doing it. I also need to hang a load of washing out, hoover through, wash up, more knitting and crochet and mark a set of books. It's highly unlikely I'll get all of that done but I need to set myself something to work towards.
    Have a good day all.
  • Morning :) surprised no one has posted yet! Hope you're all having lovely lie-ins/times :A

    I've been up a while but am getting a headache so may go and have a lay down in a bit. Just taken some painkillers so hopefully it will go shortly...

    so far I have:

    * hand washed a couple of gd's bits to get the stains out & hung out
    * hung last night's washing on line
    * chopped and froze the runner beans picked yesterday
    * tidied up
    * put a mountain of washing away
    * revisited meal plan - I last went grocery shopping 11 days ago so technically I would go shopping on Wednesday, but was planning to eek it out till Friday/Saturday. Looking at main meals we still have enough for the next 2 weeks so next week will just do a storecupboard top up shop :D and maybe buy in a big joint of meat and chop into smaller joints and freeze :D
    * just done a meal plan/starting the shopping list for the next 2 weeks...

    Still to do:
    * lunches/clothes/bags for tomorrow
    * all meals from stores
    * might go to the allotment for an hour but it was raining quite heavily yesterday so unless it brightens up it'll be too wet. Then I'll do some tidying up in our garden instead
    * pick the rest of the tomatoes and put in bag to ripen
    * nsd? maybe...
    * possibly oh will put dgd's bike seat on my bike and we can go out for a ride :money:
    * hoping to get my sewing machine out. Didn't do this yesterday. Must prioritise myself!

    Ok that'll do. Happy Sunday y'all x

    Morning guys :) Well I'm up and about early this morning! Being 7 months pregnant is a contributing factor! I was at Sainbury's 5 minutes before the opened to get my shopping done and my aim was to spend under £10, spent £9.99 - yay! For today I've got a less MSE day as me and OH are going out for lunch, however we've not been out together for a few weeks as hubby fractured his foot and hasn't been able to walk or drive!

    For today:
    - Food shopping hopefully under £10 - Done, £9.99 spent!
    - Lunch with hubby - Harvester so shouldn't be too expensive!
    - Surveys
    - Check Swagbucks as I didn't get round to it yesterday!
    - A general tidy up
    - Find somethings to list on Ebay, I've also got a few auctions ending today :)

    Have a lovely Sunday everyone :) x

    La E your comment about being happy dh is out made me chuckle! :rotfl:

    Ha ha, I meant it in the nicest possible way in that he was out earning money :rotfl:

    We're off to meet our friends for a dog walk today. Hopefully it'll go ok....

    Leftovers for dinner tonight - same roast chicken dinner as last night. Was so tasty. :cool:

    Need to think about lunch - don't really have anything in...:think:

    Not much from me!!!

    Happy Sunday!

    'Ey up ducks,
    Not an NSD but not been baaaaad either.
    *Visited NT property for nice sunny walk & autumn fair. Got in 'free' as members. Treated selves to bacon rolls & coffee. It felt like such a treat because we hardly ever do it now that we have reformed our shocking spendy ways. Last 2 stamps on coffee loyalty card so a nice free cup, which we will save for our holiday.
    *Just bought 2 cards. Seemed to sample a lot of tastes of yummy things but money stayed in purse.
    *Freezer dive for dinner. Mr f is planning to concoct a humungous stew from all sorts of bits of stuff out of the freezer......l/o pork, gravy, stock, etc, & I'm going to have jacket potato, prawns & use up some salad stuff.
    *Make tomorrow's packed lunch.
    *Update diaries & calendar as being v organised always saves me money.
    *Pick another bunch of grapes.
    *Continue Christmas present knitting.
    *Read energy meters & update spreadsheet.
    *Set washer for cheap overnight laundry.
    I'm not pushing myself today as have plenty I want to achieve over the coming week.

    Evening all :)
    Lovely day today, so different from yesterday!

    Went car booting first thing, then did the shopping in Mr S, but back by just after 11. Not much else done, as DD and GD came round.

    Leftovers and bits from the fridge for us all for lunch. DD brought cakes that she and GD had made :)

    Picked the raspberries, all of which GD ate - quite a lot today, too :eek: Still, she is used to them I suppose :rotfl:

    OH cooked a big joint of pork from the freezer, and we had 'hog roast' rolls, with apple sauce, stuffing and crackling for dinner, with salad. Plenty of pork left for other meals, needless to say!

    And apart from dog walks and a bit of tidying, that is about it :o

    It as such a lovely day we went to local NT property with our membership instead of doing work in lounge (wonder if we were at the same one foxgloves?) was great and we did spend on a coffee each but took drinks for smalls and I shared a (large :o) biscuit with them. Although I didn't go and buy sugar, so didn't make any - DH going to ald1 tomorrow so can get some cheaper there than I would have got today if I'd popped locally.

    I also listed 17 items on fleabay and 3 on a selling page and friend of a friend is having a chair DD has grown out of, which will make space and saves it going to landfill

    Already prepped tomorrow tea (slow cooker concoction) so it can all just go in first thing, pearl barley and herbs already in sc. I'll make some dumplings in the morning and DH can pop them in at the appropriate time.

    Going to watch golf I think as DH has gone out for a drink with a friend. Enjoy your evening.
