Hey look at that. Bob is nearly below £1000.if I win the lottery I will finish it off for her.
Just back from walking dogs and doing chucks and raspberries. It is a perfect mild and misty autumn day.
Off to work with packed lunch.
Have a good day all.

How lovely Dawn who needs Cbeebies
Cbeebies? Bring it on! Unfortunately she has lost interest except for a couple of things she occasionally wants to watch on iplayer
Awake / up at 5.30 again - wish I could sleep laterAnd it is now pouring with rain, though fine when I got up!
Doesn't look as though it will be gardening weather today, but on the plus side, no watering either.
We are without electricity for most of today as they are carrying out maintenance apparently, so no baking either.... (gas oven but needs electricity to work due to clock thingy or some such  ). Got the camping kettle out for cuppas
Plans for today look like this:
Trip to next town to visit market and small antiques / junk fair to look for new business stock /buy some potatoes as ours are all gone now
Post 2 ebay parcels, all wrapped up and waiting for OH to take dog out so I can print the labels (he barks frantically at the printer and we can't seem to stop him from doing it :rotfl: funny, but very annoying!)
Make a cake or something for a charity event tomorrow - this will of course have to wait till the electricity comes back on!
Depending on the above, may succumb to a takeaway for dinner - a rare occurrence, so I am not going to beat myself up about it!
Dog walk later (I usually do the afternoons, OH the mornings, except when he is off somewhere, then I do those as well)
Check banks
Check for surveys
Catch up on paperwork for business
Make appointment for flu jab which I annoyingly keep forgetting to do! This has to be done after 3pm, by which time I have forgotten about it
Hope everyone has a good day0 -

Morning everyone,
I'm shouting it from the rooftops - today I'm officially debt free!!!! I will continue in my tradition to be frugal in an attempt to save for a deposit next year, so although my list isn't specifically DFW, it's still kind of relevant.
I've a busy day and evening so I can't have a productive one;
- Check banks and YNAB
- Pay off CC - DONE!!!
- Call in a favour to collect me tonight from a boxing event and save £20 on a taxi
- Have a productive day
- Drink plenty water
- Meal plan for next week (including a bake)
That'll do me for now. Have a good day everyone.
Dawn - I don't mind being woken up early as it allows me to be productive, however without electricity I'd be lost!0 -
I have my daughters Sylvanian families things on ebay. She never plays with them. The cost hundreds, have a few families, a house, a treehouse, a nursery, and endless little knick nacks and furniture.
Listed on Ebay for £120 BIN, but just had a cheeky offer of £75 come in. I've rejected, but can't help feel I've missed £75 of income today0 -
Afternoon all. late check in, not quite sure where the day has gone, anyway lots done, working from home always helps
Checked banking, surveys and FPL
DH due to get £30 extra in wages tomorrow, not sure why. Reduce payment for BTL mortgage showing for tomorrow so amended budget accordingly
Popped to town, multiple jobs whilst there, collected parcel, picked up some items, only bought what we needed, used contactless card where possible top earn cashback. Used town loyalty card for 5% off in a shop too
Downside is a put a £1 in the coupon slot at self serve as I was rushing and it was rammed
Water tomatoes
declined friends invite for dinner out, meal from planner with what we have in
Lunch was sandwich at home and hm muffin
Used water from bottles (filled from tap) that were half full to fill kettle and water herbs
Made appointment for kitty for jabs next week
Chose a stay away that was £150 cheaper as it was for 2 nights rather than 3. will just come back late on the last night. Will pay from holiday fund.
used gym membership and ran 5k
early night tonight as it's been a busy week0 -
Hi all,
I'm late posting as well today. Been busy. Some money saving activity though:
*Finalised meal plans
*Wrote shopping list.
*Picked another bunch of grapes. Loads left. Good crop this year.
*Ironed only what really needed it....otherwise a waste of both my energy & the paid for kind.
*Small cheque received in the post for a work expense owed to mr f. Have paid it straight across to Loan Pay-Down Fund.
*Posted ebay parcels.
*Paid another 50p into my sealed pot.
*Sorted out savings piggies. I crossed over 2 funds yesterday & got them in a muddle but they are now sorted out.
*Paid a sum of money to CC - we used money from Leisure/Entertainment Piggy to buy some tickets yesterday but we used the CC to maximise points for vouchers. I'm used to paying these amounts off quickly now.
*Did introductory project for the online brand forum I was recruited onto via a survey site. Hope I earn as many vouchers as last time as they were so useful for buying gifts.
*Received email from 'Monsoon' to say I have a £10 reward added to my loyalty card. Will not rush to spend it. Will wait until I see something I need. Am pretty much OK for clothes at the moment.
*Used a £25 off a £50 spend to place a Body Shop order. Meant I will get my moisturiser half price, plus a product mr f likes, but also used the half price offer to order a few Christmas gifts.
*Knit more of B-in-Law's sock.
*Started planting up some autumn/winter containers out on our back courtyard. I've said this before, but the old pre-LBM me would think nothing of spending £40 or £50 on plants to fill just 2 or 3 containers. This year I've spend £1 on some muscari bulbs, £2.49 on some mini-daffs (they were BOGOF) & about £5 on a dozen violas. Mum gave me a bag of tulip bulbs & I'm filling in gaps with snowdrop bulbs lifted from a patch of garden where I've got too many. I've divided up some of my pink primroses too, so when that lot all get going, it should look good. I used to love blowing the cash on plants but I'm now finding I get as much of a kick out of trying to be resourceful with what I already have & just a tiny spend.
*Make tomorrow's packed lunch.
I think that's everything. Enjoyed reading everyone's posts.

Woo hoo Speky!!! Congrats!!
Well blow me down, we've only gone and spent just £148 on groceries this month!! :T :j :T

Finally... enjoy your early mornings peeps... Rumi told us:
The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.
Don’t go back to sleep.
You must ask for what you really want.
Don’t go back to sleep.
People are going back and forth across the door sill
Where the two worlds touch.
The door is round and open.
Don’t go back to sleep.
OK, I will get back in my literary box now :rotfl:0
