    Quick update:

Spends - it has been a very spendy month with both cars costing nearly £1k between them and lots of spends on DD for uni. More spends on that today - and tomorrow will see more as we take her there, move all her stuff in, buy lunch and do a Tesc0 shop with her. That should be it for a while then.......

Eating - succumbed to a chippy tea last night for 4 of us. Although less than £10 it was done as an easy option and because I was collecting DS3 from an activity directly opposite the chip shop. Not good..

Presents - couple of small presents for OH's bdat next month purchased and 1 item for DS3 for XMas.

Time - had an early night last night - in bed and tucked up just after GBBO :) Much needed.

Bed - bought a large tray of pansies reduced to 60p :D:D from Tesc0 tonight - that'll help start off my WInter pots in the garden :) Currently soaking and will plant them at weekend.

    Exercise - over 17k steps today :)

We're now halfway through the month, Turtles :)

    xx

  • Just a quick check in. My sleeping pattern is all over the place. Fell asleep before dark yesterday and woke fully clothed at 1.10 in the morning with the curtains still open. Struggled to get back to sleep, nodded off once and DS3 needed me to wasp hunt in the bathroom. Read for a bit, slept for a bit but still tired, dizzy and disoriented.

    Things can only get better.

  • Morning all,

Nailed my NSD yesterday as predicted however I know I won't tonight. Need to do some clothes shopping for work, a lot of my things are looking tired or don't fit.

Damn. My goals seems a bit ambitious.

mothernerd - I feel for you. I'd just keep yourself occupied today with no naps, and if you could even manage some sort of exercise that'll help you get a good night.
  • Hello

    15th September

I'm sure preparing to go on holiday is more expensive than actually being there. Bought a few more things that son will need while we're away

Disaster! Something went terribly wrong with the soup so we had to have bridie and beans instead. Oh well, at least it came out of the freezer. I'm going to do another fish pie tomorrow using from fish in the freezer. I don't really know why we have so much.

It was a lovely day today so I've managed to get all this week's washing done and dried outside. Now for the ironing! I think my problem is that I really don't like housework.

Had a walk through the park and went the long way to the shops.

Still plodding along with the Christmas cards.

Getting on well with the new book. I'm looking for something to download on to my tablet to read whilst we're way as I don't want to be carrying anything extra (we don't drive so going by train and bus).

Hope you all have a good day.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

Today won't be an SFD as we'll go to LILD after work/school. Need fruit and stuff for sandwiches for my Duathlon tomorrow (26 km bike, 14 km walk/run over two Munros, and another 6km cycle, got 8 h to do it though, so might take it easy).

Might buy/make a bird feeder over the weekend. Got so many birds in my garden and they are eating all my precious earth worm ;). Printed out a little identifier sheet for the kids.

xpender congratulations on the promotion and Happy Anniversary

Bought a blazer type jacket from an ebayer with good ratings and usually fast delivery. Never arrived and of course they say they sent it (I believe him but second class, says has receipt but of course no tracking). They probably think I'm lying and trying it on. Decided to not open a case (only £5 spend in total) as it happened to me before and because of the fees etc he would be out of pocket too. Just send him/her a nice messages that I learnt the hard way to send everything recorded. At least then we would have a claim with the post office.

  • Was just about to report NSD no.8, but BF has persuaded me to get a takeaway and it's my turn to pay. I have up an extra shift for next weekend thou, so that's a little boost to my finances.
Tomorrow will definitely be a spend, I need a haircut. I only go about once every 9 months! And it's only £8 for a dry trim.
I also need to pop into town for a wedding/congrats card and a get well card. (Plus some money to go in the wedding card) before we head to the wedding do in the evening. There will probably be a few £ spent on a drink or two, but neither of us drink much so will probably end up drinking cokes.

Presents - I have made a start on crocheting a blanket for my brother. My skills are limited to 'granny squares' so I'm going for a pixel art Triforce logo from Zelda (he's a huge fan). My squares are only 3 rows around, but each one is going to take me 10 mins. I need about 72 black and 75 yellow. I haven't even counted what I'll need for the background! I will take me forever!
Meet - Wedding do is tomorrow. I think I'm going to visit my granny while I'm in the neighborhood too.

NSD today. Yipeeee. Also, PT session and a 5k run. Definite progress. I've meal planned for next week.

I hoped to put off shopping until Monday, but it may not be possible if DHs milk goes off.

One Xmas present purchased. My Dad. We only give parental presents occasionally (as they have everything and can afford anything - so when we see something they'd really appreciate we splash out. So I think this will be the first for him birthday/Christmas for a number of years. A VERY expensive piece of Lego. My sister is chipping in as well. So that's £150 gone. Only nephew and nieces to do really, and they are all too young to recognise the value. More interested in the wrapping paper.

  • Hello

    16th September

Thought this might be a NSD but had to spend a little on some unexpected things that came up.

Made a chilli to use up a green pepper and some onions before we go away.

Did the ironing but not much else.

Had a little bit of a walk. Hoping the weather will be good tomorrow and we'll walk along the river to visit C's sister. She's been moved to somewhere a bit closer so it should be easier for us to visit.

Another few Christmas cards. Wish I'd thought of doing this before. It's less boring this way.

Trying hard to get on with the book. Enjoying it.

Thriftylass – Good luck with the Duathlon!. Goodness, you must be fit.

Raphael – Enjoy the wedding. Hope your Gran is OK

    Have a good weekend.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.
