    It's for sky q and occured with two different operators on two different occasions

    I too have had a "chat" with Aftab - who is a BOT !
    I don't know how legally binding a BOT chat is - that's why I always ensure that I ask for a HUMAN BEING to chat with...

    If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.

    Are you sure they are BOT ?

    Mine was done by SMS and I asked lots of questions that to me weren't standard script questions and the replies were good.

    I tried the human person chat and their offers were nowhere near Aftab's prices but all that matters is I am happy with the price.

    How did you manage to deal with them via SMS? I haven't seen that option. Have tried the standard web chat a couple of times but have got nowhere. Have got the returns boxes now and there is a different phone number to the standard one so might give that a go but not holding out much hope. 

    Looks like I can get a reasonable deal with Virgin but not interested in their broadband which then makes the offering less appealing. I can record programs using my TV so have that function. Also have Prime as it's an essential for the free delivery aspect and free Disney through bank account. So, may just get Netflix and be done with Sky. Can always use Now for the odd bit of sport, or just PPV footie matches using iFollow. To be honest, the films on Cinema have been pretty poor since Covid and barring footie, the sports I watch have all moved to TNT anyway.

    Bottom line, unless I can get a very good deal (especially as the price will go up in a few months anyway), I just don't see much value in Sky any more.

    I got Sky Q reinstalled after nearly 6 months without and the installer said that Sky are pushing people into Stream or Sky Glass but she has Stream and isn't impressed with it compared to satellite.

    I was quite shocked when she said that she said Sky get loads of call outs to customers on Stream trying to sort out connection issues. The day she installed Q she had 8 satellite re/installs and 1 Glass install and most of the customers had no intention of getting Stream until they have no choice.
  • My Sky Q contract ended in October. After many calls and perseverance I negotiated early December a new Sky Q contract for two years for £43pm
    Signature £20
    Sports HD £10
    Cinema HD £8
    HD £4
    UHD £1
    Signature and Sports are contracted for two years but Cinema is a dependent offer apparently so if I was to cancel Cinema it would double the price of Sports. They didn’t tell me that. I had to ask the question after being caught out by that before. So effectively I’m in contract for two years for Cinema as well as Signature and Sports. Subject to two price rises in 2026 and 2027 but I can always remove HD / UHD if I need to keep the price down. I got this through the WinBack team 03337594451.
