Well, well - just looked at Sky app and the discount for contract renewal has gone up to £15pm - still not good enuf but interesting that the offer is getting better as the end of the minimum contract period draws nigh !!brewerdave said:Seems that they are offering a standard £10 discount offer regardless of the package - the higher your current sub. , the less attractive that £10 is going to be !!0 -

On 25 July, I went on to Sky Chat and got offered £60.50 for the above.
I also asked what the price would be to include Multiscreen. I was told £68.50.
I still decided to still go ahead and give notice of cancellation.
As luck would have it we were actually on holiday on 6 September when the cancellation took effect and just got home last night - 16 September - so today I phoned Sky to see what they could offer.
We got offered £44 for Sky Signature, Sky HD, Sky Sports, Sky Sports HD, Sky Sports and Sky Cinema. (There was no mention of Sky Go Extra and we didn't notice it was missed off. I'm not sure if it's something we need.) We're actually not fussed about having Sky Cinema but when we asked about taking it off, we got told that it would actually increase the cost! (I do think I've read about this before in this thread.)
To add Multiscreen to the above we were told would be £10, so £54 per month.
We have accepted the £54 offer as it is just £0.50 more than we have been paying and we are also getting Sky Cinema plus Multiscreen (just in one additional room.) (Apparently, we have an old Sky+ box so an engineer is coming out to replace it with a Sky Q 1TB UHD box. No other fees are to be added on.) This is for a 24 month contract.
We are pleased with this. I hope the experts on here think it is also a good deal.Mardrew, thank you for posting. We asked for cinema and as you said it reduced the price (more is less it seems) to the same £44 as you.So - it was cheaper with Cinema than without ?They apparently have pre set up packages that they can apply to customers accounts - rather than selecting individual components !I mean - can you imagine the difficulty (and obvious expense) involved in setting up an account with Sport AND Cinema compared to just Sport ?
If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.0 -
All those extra buttons to press.😃😃MouldyOldDough said:hind98 said:Mardrew said:We had been paying £53.50 for Sky Signature, Sky Sports HD, Sky HD, Sky Go Extra. Our contract was due to end on 6 September. The new billing price was showing as £85.50 but got an offer of £75.50 in our Sky account.

From memory, when we asked how much the package would be without Cinema, he said it would be £3 more! It really doesn't make sense.0

Hi,
Advice please I am very confused about my sky and how to get a better deal.
I have sky q box and my price has gone up!
It says my sky signature ends 14/10/2025.
But it also says my contract has ended??
I currently pay
Sky signature £30.50
Ultimate TV add on £9
Sky hd £8
Ultra hd £3
Total £50.50
The start of 24 month contract was £38 for first year, then £46.50 until April.
It went up last month to £56.50, not sure why and now says I've gone onto rolling contract of £61.50.
I want to keep sky with uhd and full netflix at a minimum.
I am being offered £58.59 for 24 month contract.
That seems expensive to me.
I would be interested in adding sport if it was a very good deal
I can't see any web chat ???
What can I expect and how is easiest way to get a reasonable deal?
Also, any reason to stay with q box or would I get better deal otherwise?0 -
Their billing system has got more and more confusing over the years. Also had the same problem. Would recommend taking a screenshot saying contract ended in case there are any "misunderstandings" in future.G_G said:

Anyone ever got a new contract at say £55, then found out on here someone has got the same deal for £45, so you go back to Sky and they honour the cheaper price found of £45? Or do they cover themselves by saying deals change on a daily basis?0

They change on an hourly basis or less with Sky.Max68 said:Anyone ever got a new contract at say £55, then found out on here someone has got the same deal for £45, so you go back to Sky and they honour the cheaper price found of £45? They change depending on who you talking to also.
All you can do is accept the deal/price you are happy to pay and move on and don't worry about other people's deal.2 -
G_G I am not an expert but, as you will see above, I have just sorted out a new contract for our Sky. When I knew ours was coming to the end of our contract period, I read the MSE article and also the last few pages of this thread to get a feel for what deals people were getting. I did go on to Webchat to see what they (SKY) could offer but knew people had got better deals than what I was being offered so I gave notice to cancel. (To be honest, I find Webchat really tedious.) The advice on here is generally to let Sky end, even by one day, and then give them a ring and, fingers crossed, you will be offered a deal you are happy with. It worked for us.G_G said:Hi,

Im getting offered the following:-
Sky Signature / Sky Sports/ Sky HD/ SKY UHD, Multiroom, Sky Cinema, Netlfix basic for £75.00 (it seems that others are being offer this for £54-65)
Multiroom and Sky Q Essentials for £20.00 - Rolling 31 day contract
Multiroom Signature incl Netflix Q Multiroom for £40.00
I'm looking at NOW TV for £55 on a special 12 month deal, but would miss the live channels as we don't have an aerial.
I have three weeks left before my contract ends. Weirdly, this time I'm not showing any offers on Mysky this time.
