Sky TV off for 3 months now.
Got my 3rd letter from them and the same price of £51pm for Entertainment, cinema, sports and Netflix on stream as the other 2 letters.
I will wait to see what Black Friday offers are on Sky and Virgin and see if it's worth a go.
My Fibre deal ends early December Vodafone so I will shop around for that also.
I had Q and multi room but all the gear has been returned.

Well knock me down with a feather. Have had via Sky Q, Signature, Sports, Cinema, Boost to Netflix Standard, all in HD for the last 16 months or so and my contract would run out this December. The last contract haggle was painful to say the least and went on and on and I actually cancelled but was sent an email days later offering £60 a month which rose to £65.49 with in contract price rises. I knew I was never going to get the old £45-£49 deal.
Received a message yesterday saying Your Sky TV renewal offer price. Monthly rolling price (after expiry)£118.49 a month. Your new TV offer £74.50 a month. Not paying that so live chatted them quite late around 7.30. They close at 8 I think, just to ask when I need to cancel to avoid paying the rolling price. They offered same package at £80.49, which strangely was £5.99 more than the website offer. I said no so he then asked what I was prepared to pay. I said £60 (wish I had gone lower now) and off he went to the supervisor. Like last time I assumed he would come back with a best offer of £70 or similar, but to my eternal shock he offered.
I've checked with my supervisors, and since you're a loyal customer with Sky, we're happy to apply the manager's offer along with a loyalty discount on your account. This will bring your monthly payment down to £62.50 for the same package you currently have. Signature is normally £40.50, but you'll pay £24.50 (with an 24-month contract) This offer is for 24 months Sky Sports in HD is normally £40, but you'll pay £23 (with an 24-month contract) This offer is for 24 months Sky Cinema is normally £13 with Sky Sports, but you'll pay £9 . This offer is for 24 months Sky HD is normally £9, but you'll pay £5 This offer is for 24 months Netflix Standard with No Ads is normally £10.99, but you'll pay £1 . This offer is for 24 months. It brings your total to £62.50 a month Just so you know, all our offers are correct today but can change. How's that for you?
Couldn't believe it to be fair, especially the Netflix price of £1. He didn't even mention any admin fee which is usually a haggle in itself. So £2.99 cheaper than I am paying now. He was saying that they were closing in 10 minutes so knowing how these offers change day to day I took it. I'm aware that with a 24 month contract there may well be two in contract price rises but to be honest I didn't think that was too bad at all. Quite surprised actually as I thought I would be haggling till Christmas! As I said I wish I had suggested lower now!
Future bills are currently showing as £66.50 but past experience shows always a teething issue or two with bills once a new contract has been done. Will keep any eye on it. All in all I'm pretty happy with that, and no hassle re negotiating for a couple of years and still have the trusty SKY Q as well.2 -
We had been paying £53.50 for Sky Signature, Sky Sports HD, Sky HD, Sky Go Extra. Our contract was due to end on 6 September. The new billing price was showing as £85.50 but got an offer of £75.50 in our Sky account.
On 25 July, I went on to Sky Chat and got offered £60.50 for the above.
I also asked what the price would be to include Multiscreen. I was told £68.50.
I still decided to still go ahead and give notice of cancellation.
As luck would have it we were actually on holiday on 6 September when the cancellation took effect and just got home last night - 16 September - so today I phoned Sky to see what they could offer.
We got offered £44 for Sky Signature, Sky HD, Sky Sports, Sky Sports HD, Sky Sports and Sky Cinema. (There was no mention of Sky Go Extra and we didn't notice it was missed off. I'm not sure if it's something we need.) We're actually not fussed about having Sky Cinema but when we asked about taking it off, we got told that it would actually increase the cost! (I do think I've read about this before in this thread.)
To add Multiscreen to the above we were told would be £10, so £54 per month.
We have accepted the £54 offer as it is just £0.50 more than we have been paying and we are also getting Sky Cinema plus Multiscreen (just in one additional room.) (Apparently, we have an old Sky+ box so an engineer is coming out to replace it with a Sky Q 1TB UHD box. No other fees are to be added on.) This is for a 24 month contract.
We are pleased with this. I hope the experts on here think it is also a good deal.

Mardrew - That's a great deal, probably the best I have seen on here for years. Thought mine was pretty decent but seems you have got pretty much the same for £17.50 less. I'm tempted to go back to Sky and say, Oi
Re your Sky Go, they didn't mention it to me either and I forgot about it but just looked at my future bills and it says on there Sky Go Extra Subscription Discounted:-£5.00 = £0.00 • Offer end date: 8th March 2102. So still getting that for free even though I never use it so worth just checking your future bills as you may still have it even though it wasn't mentioned.
Sorted my bills out. The £66.50 rather that £62.50 was factthat they hadn't discounted Sky Sports HD and it was showing as £6, so they have adjusted it to £2 and future bills now stand at £62.50.0 -
Hi,
I was paying £41.40 for the following which we never really watched much off anyway if I'm honest:
Sky signature - £19.50
Sky sports complete - £8
Sky Cinema - £3.90
Sky Sports HD - £2
Sky HD - £4
Sky Go Extra - £0
Ultra HD - £4
Price rise was pushing this up to £51 but still in contract so took out sky stream with sky essential TV for £18 to cancel out the Sky Q contract, I then cancelled sky stream within my cooling of period and now have freeview - cost £0 per month!1
