Contract ends 29/10 and my current price of £39 pcm (TV only) goes up to £58 (not the best by a country mile but the wifes health at the time stopped me haggling much). They've put an offer on my account page of a very(not) generous £10 off for 24 months, I guess the price rises are hidden in the small print. If it wasn't for the wife there's no chance of me keeping it, guess I'll have to try the phone or webchat shortly.
When did the "generous" offer appear ?
My contract finishes 1st Dec. and the future November bill is already showing a return to full list prices with much reduced discounts for November.
Sometime between 29/07 and 25/08, the link (if and when it appears) should be on the homepage when you log in online. On the App it's on the homepage, there's a "Your Sky TV package ends soon" message. Click on it then click on "Continue" to see the actual offer. My billing date is the 2nd of the month with the current offer ending on 29/10 if that helps.
Message has appeared now - currently paying £53.50 for Signature/Sports/HD - full price from Dec. will be £83.50 pm - offer is a "generous" £10 off to £73.50 - don't think so especially with a 24 month tie in. Be giving notice to cancel early November

My contract ends start of December (Signature, Movies, Sport, Netflix no ads).  Currently £59, and the renewal offer has appeared online.

No chance I'm renewing on that.

Seems that they are offering a standard £10 discount offer regardless of the package - the higher your current sub. , the less attractive that £10 is going to be !!

Hi, so I have given notice to terminate my Sky Q package after 10 years. It’s set to cancel on 4th September.

    My current package is:

    ·         Sky Signature

    ·         Sky Sports

    ·         Sky Cinema

    ·         HD/UHD

    ·         Multiscreen

Price set to increase to £107.50! Hence the cancellation. Ideally, I would like to keep the same package and my Netflix deal has now ended so would like to add standard or premium to my deal as I have read about peoples successes adding these to their packages. Do you think I could get a better deal than the £59 they are offering with Netflix (with ads)? I was going to give them an opportunity to keep me as customer in my last week of cancellation, but I have read letting it cancel for the day is the best way to get a better deal. Any help would be appreciated.

After a 2 phone calls with Sky (overseas call centre) I have managed to get the below deal:

    ·         Sky Signature £24

    ·         Sky Sports £6

    ·         Sky Cinema £7

    ·         HD/UHD £2

    ·         Multiscreen £6

    ·         Netflix with ads free for 4 months then £4.50

Persistence was the key factor, I must of been on the phone for over 40 minutes across the 2 calls, they constantly kept saying higher prices were the best deal, offering Sky stream which I flat rejected. When I spoke to the first person they said they were having technical issues, so someone else would phone me back. The second person just offered me the £45 I was asking for. Very happy with that deal and it proves it is still possible with a bit of will power, and determination.

They've got rid of all the sales staff at at least 3 centres across the UK so I'd guess it will be a foreign call centre when I phone up. I can see this not going well at all.

A surprisingly short (40 minutes) webchat got me:-

    Signature at £28.50
    Netflix std at £4.50
    HD at £5
UHD at £2 (which I think I'll remove shortly anyway)

for a total of £40, £1 more than I was paying.

No doubt could have pushed for more but don't have the energy or time to spend on it any more due to the wife's health issues. If it was just me then I'd have cancelled full stop. Full current price is £58.

yep I clicked in with offers my package going up to £131.25 per month (tv only) they offered a tenner - I called up to get better deal best they could offer was about £93 a month I said stick it - cancel please - they are having problems actually telling me when my contract will cancel and the amount - cos system will not work but the agreed cancellation date is 3rd October I believe. I Have:- Sky Signature, Sports, Cinema, Netflix Premium, Sports HD, Sky HD, Multiscreen, Ultra HD and it lists Sky Mini Box (but thought multiscreen gave you this for free and I already have 3 of these) ? whats a realistic target for this with sky RRP of £131.25 - I'm hoping for about £60 or should I be looking for less - can bin cinema if i'm honest and also Ultra but they do not charge me for that anyway ? I use the mini boxes for wifi repeating purposes upstairs and across to my bar but mainly watch sports ?

    Thanks, Steve

Steve - This looks like basically what i'm after practically the same as you they only offered £93.50 or something I wanted £60 so im now in cancellation period am I best just waiting til cancels then call back day of cancellation and sort ? Looks like this is the best way to get a good deal now from this thread ? I have issues with broadband as cannot get BT here (East Yorkshire) so lose out on some negotiating powers there but on gigabit for £27 a month paid for by my work so not an issue anyway. Im happy to tie in for 24 months save hassle for that time before I have to start haggling again over the phone - Sky at a decent price is a pain - if not Firestick it is behind a VPN and £40 a year once bought the stick just do like the ability to record and watch back ?
