Sky TV retention deals ( post your haggling successes )

Sometime between 29/07 and 25/08, the link (if and when it appears) should be on the homepage when you log in online. On the App it's on the homepage, there's a "Your Sky TV package ends soon" message. Click on it then click on "Continue" to see the actual offer. My billing date is the 2nd of the month with the current offer ending on 29/10 if that helps.brewerdave said:
When did the "generous" offer appear ?JSmithy45AD said:Contract ends 29/10 and my current price of £39 pcm (TV only) goes up to £58 (not the best by a country mile but the wifes health at the time stopped me haggling much). They've put an offer on my account page of a very(not) generous £10 off for 24 months, I guess the price rises are hidden in the small print. If it wasn't for the wife there's no chance of me keeping it, guess I'll have to try the phone or webchat shortly.
My contract finishes 1st Dec. and the future November bill is already showing a return to full list prices with much reduced discounts for November.1 -
Trying to get my SKY Broadband down from £35 a month - has anyone had any luck recently?
I've got Ultrafast1 (150mbs) and I'm out of contract from October - just tried to get them down via customer service (not retentions/cancellation team) and all they offered me was £32 a month.
Looking around, Vodafone is £23 a month and Hyperoptic is £10 but I've never heard of the latter so unsure if they're a good company/service.0 -

Can anyone give me the customer service number to ring to try and haggle?0

well I've got them now down from £170ish to £140pm via WhatsApp - which included them upgrading me to Fibre 500 for £33 from my current Ultrafast. So that's around a 15-20% discount so far overall.
Said I'll consider it, but in the full knowledge I'll call them tomorrow to start the 31 day cancellation period. The dance continues...0 -
How recently did you (or someone you know) get this package for those prices?mits999 said:You need to serve 30 days notice to cancel then after tv has gone completely off for 1 day call up rejoin team barter down price to signature £10 kids free HD free, sky sports £6 sky sports hd free, sky cinema £5 tnt sports £20 ultra hd £1 multi screen £5 neltflix premium £11

You should get that for nearly half that price.0 -
I returned my Sky Q equipment this morning via Royal Mail collection.
Post person said they have been collecting about 20 boxes from Sky a day and the main reason he was told was that customer's can't/won't pay what Sky are wanting. I never asked how many new Sky stuff he deliverers.
I got a letter last week for great offer of £51 pm for stream so I went to Sky and the same package was £52 so they aren't trying hard to keep me as a customer.0 -
My s-i-l had virtually everything thru Sky. Ended up cancelling because the retention offers were way higher than these - even after cancelling TV and moving b/band the offers he got were ""uninteresting" - he has now signed up with BT/EE for a significantly lower price than the best Sky offer he received.MeteredOut said:

As I only have Signature/Sports/HD ,I'd snap their hands off for a deal at £16pm LOL0 -
Hi, I have just rejected the last Sky phone call offer after cancelling and switch off is next week. They increased the offer amount slightly from 2 weeks ago so asked for that, but they couldn't do that. What is my best tactic now? Just to wait till its switched off and then wait for an offer in the next month or actively ask to re-sign up again on live chat etc.? I have Sky Signature and Sky Sports and was offered £42.50 (24 months contract). Can they do it for cheaper than this? Thanks in advance for any advice.0
