You may not have a choice sometime in the future.SpanishBlue said:MACKEM99 said:We just mute the sound when adverts are on.But that way a 44 minute programme will take up about an hour of your time.No thanks. I'd rather record and skip the ads.0 -
Got a random offer letter through Sky today, offering signature, sports and movies for £49.50, and if I want HD/UHD and multiscreen it's an extra combined £15. Total £64.50, more expensive that what the last retention call offered! I'm in week 2 of cancellation.Mister_Saxon said:Hi, so I have given notice to terminate my Sky Q package after 10 years. It’s set to cancel on 4th September.
My current package is:
· Sky Signature
· Sky Sports
· Sky Cinema
· HD/UHD
· Multiscreen
Price set to increase to £107.50! Hence the cancellation. Ideally, I would like to keep the same package and my Netflix deal has now ended so would like to add standard or premium to my deal as I have read about peoples successes adding these to their packages. Do you think I could get a better deal than the £59 they are offering with Netflix (with ads)? I was going to give them an opportunity to keep me as customer in my last week of cancellation, but I have read letting it cancel for the day is the best way to get a better deal. Any help would be appreciated.

There's AD skip which gives you similar thing to a PVR..
Or you could get an extra 44 minutes of your life back by not watching the program at all!0 -

If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.0 -
My wife is nearly the same - but with all the funeral plan ads currently bombarding our screens !MouldyOldDough said:MACKEM99 said:We just mute the sound when adverts are on.My wife is extremely sensitive to ads like the current RSPCA, Dogs Trust and even worse the DONKEY one - that shows donkeys being mistreated - she yells at me "get it off..." whenever it is shown - often repeatedly several times an hour...God knows how she will survive when she has no choice with animal cruelty charity ads !0 -
Why do we also have ads about bodily functions, we never used to?0
