  • 1 week into my cancellation. Been offered the following deal.

    300MB Fibre      £32
    Sky Signature     £20
    Sky Sports HD    £18
    Netflix   £4.50
    HD        £4
    UHD      £1

    Total price is £79.50

Do people think this is a reasonable deal? I was trying to get them down to £70 to no avail when I had a call off the cancellation team. Vary wary of price rises over the 2 years taking this closer to £100. How they still charge for HD separately is beyond me.
TV prices look OK to me - but fibre price a bit high.
Can you get those TV prices honoured without the broadband ? Furthermore ,have you actually cancelled b/band rather than switched away?
Thanks. I haven't cancelled broadband, just the tv and I imagine they would honour the TV without broadband. I asked what the deal was for 150MB, which is what we currently on and we are fine with. They said it was only 50p cheaper, and it wasn't on offer, which I was dubious about.

1 week into cancellation (so service is off), or 1 week into cancellation notice period?

You get different offers in both circumstances.
One week into cancellation notice period. I'm willing to wait to get theprice down but I'm wondering if Sky still give the bigger discounts in these circumstances compared to previous years

Something must have changed at Sky or it's just me.

Switched off 4 weeks ago and calls, SMS or email and I have them on in preferences or comes.

Thinking of going to Virgin media for fibre and TV but it's only streaming they do now as I had Q but I have heard a lot of bad things from mates and family about Sky streaming so I will wait and see.

No - everyone says the same thing - Sky have become extremely greedy and not open to negotiations

If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.

my pics were turned off this morning, phoned the winback team and spoke to a woman and agreed a new deal, the breakdown is a little odd compared to everyone else ive seen as im paying more for signature but ive not seen anyone get TNT for £20, she agreed to waive the £10 admin fee also which was good, the break down for the package I agreed is as follows,

    sky signature - £24
    sky sports - £10
    TNT sport - £20
    TNT sport HD - £0
    sky cinema - £7
    sky sports HD - £0
    sky HD - £5
    multiscreen - £6
    ultra HD - £2

    = £74

edit - just looked at my future bills and the breakdown appears to be slightly different to what the lady told me on the phone although the overall price is still £74, the breakdown on my official bill appears as

    sky signature - £24
    sky sports - £8
    TNT sport - £20
    TNT sport HD - £0
    sky cinema - £7
    sky sports HD - £2
    sky HD - £5
    multiscreen - £6
    ultra HD - £2

    = £74

@FUrake - the only difference is the Sports HD going from £0 to £2 and an extra £2 off Sky Sports. I assume that is due to the fact that you have been a subscriber for some time (as I have) and have a separate line for Sports HD on your "contract". I believe that new subscribers get Sports in HD automatically as for Cinema

I don't believe there's any evidence that tenure impacts the offers made to customers.

As for Sky VIP, that's akin to credit scores - its a vanity thing for those that care.
