Hi, so I have given notice to terminate my Sky Q package after 10 years. It’s set to cancel on 4th September.

    My current package is:

    ·         Sky Signature

    ·         Sky Sports

    ·         Sky Cinema

    ·         HD/UHD

    ·         Multiscreen

Price set to increase to £107.50! Hence the cancellation. Ideally, I would like to keep the same package and my Netflix deal has now ended so would like to add standard or premium to my deal as I have read about peoples successes adding these to their packages. Do you think I could get a better deal than the £59 they are offering with Netflix (with ads)? I was going to give them an opportunity to keep me as customer in my last week of cancellation, but I have read letting it cancel for the day is the best way to get a better deal. Any help would be appreciated.

yeh best thing to do is wait until the pics have been turned off and phone the winback team later that day or the next day and that way you will get a better discount than you are being offered at present

yeh you are getting properly ripped off here, for the TV part you should phone them and give your 31 day cancellation notice, wait for the TV to cancel/pics turn off then you will be offered a massive discount for a new 24 month contract, as for the broadband what speed are you getting for this price? below are the speeds/prices that sky are offering me when I log into my account

I've noticed that on my Sky account they are saying that I'm out of contract when according to my records they're about 2 months early (the 24 month renewal deal sucks anyway - about £65 for signature and sports). The dates which the discounts expire generally match the actual contract end date under future bills. I've screenshotted the "out of contract" page just in case there are any "misunderstandings" when I go to cancel.

my 31 day cancellation runs out in 2 days, received a text message today inviting me to phone the winback team to see what they could offer, the best the lady could offer was £91.50 for the package im on, I have been paying £86.50 for this package previously so obv turned it down, was surprising because when I initially spoke to retentions department to hand in the 31 day cancellation weeks ago they offered me the same deal for £86.50, so the winback teams offer was an increase on this, ive never seen or heard of this happen before! the package below is what ive been on + paying previously and what they just offered me for £91.50!!

    sky signature - £25.50

    sky sports - £12

    TNT sport - £28

    TNT sport HD - £0

    sky cinema - £7

    sky sports HD - £2

    sky HD - £0

    multiscreen - £10

    ultra HD - £2

  • 1 week into my cancellation. Been offered the following deal.

    300MB Fibre      £32
    Sky Signature     £20
    Sky Sports HD    £18
    Netflix   £4.50
    HD        £4
    UHD      £1

    Total price is £79.50

Do people think this is a reasonable deal? I was trying to get them down to £70 to no avail when I had a call off the cancellation team. Vary wary of price rises over the 2 years taking this closer to £100. How they still charge for HD separately is beyond me.

TV prices look OK to me - but fibre price a bit high.
Can you get those TV prices honoured without the broadband ? Furthermore ,have you actually cancelled b/band rather than switched away?

1 week into cancellation (so service is off), or 1 week into cancellation notice period?

You get different offers in both circumstances.
