Sky told me that with Sky q essentials, there cannot be any add ons such as HD, UHD, cinema etc… only with a signature package it is possible.culponj said:Cancelled Sky TV in April and have ignored any all or email since. Decided the Fire stick was too much messing around so called to get a quote.
Ended up with Sky Q Essentials (No Netflix) with UHD for £7 a month for 2 years with first 2 months free. Sky Stream was significantly more expensive.
Have Virgin 1GB for £30 a month so don't use Sky for that
Very happy with the outcome0 -
Had you already sent back your equipment? I'd be tempted with that dealculponj said:Cancelled Sky TV in April and have ignored any all or email since. Decided the Fire stick was too much messing around so called to get a quote.

I have been offered an "increase free" price by Sky - It is quite expensive (£83.60) for signature + multiscreen + hd + sports !no mention of an annual price increase
If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.0 -
Went on live chat yesterday and was offered the following for £65
Signature
Sports
HD and UHD0 -
It'll be in the small print, I've no idea what an "increase free" price is mind. Is that their wording or yours?MouldyOldDough said:I have been offered an "increase free" price by Sky - It is quite expensive (£83.60) for signature + multiscreen + hd + sports !no mention of an annual price increase0 -
I’m totally struggling with Sky atm. Currently paying £131 per month but my offers end on 26 Aug so it’s going up to a dizzying £162 pm. I’m in contract to Feb 27. They will not renegotiate the offers unless I take Sky Glass which I really don’t want. I’ve been a customer for over 15years. I take it there’s nowt I can do but suck it up? Any advice appreciated!
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0 -
Only thing you can do is if your are not in a fixed term/contract for certain things like movies, sport or the like is to is to cancel them.jintyb said:I’m totally struggling with Sky atm. You have another 6 months of high price's or so what I suggest.
Why has your discount ended when you have still got 6 to go?
Also can you post what you are pat for on here because £162 is a hell of a lot per month.

According to the poster he is in contract til Feb '27 ie 18 months left ? Something isn't right as that would mean he only recontracted in Feb this year ??Boohoo said:

Is Feb 27 actually 27/02/2026?
Sky only recently start doing 24 months contract instead of 18 so the OP has dates wrong or they only got 6 months of offers/ discounts.
Have to wait till they come back.0
