Sky TV retention deals ( post your haggling successes )

To continue this theme, I also have had all my offers extended by 12 months. Contract ends late September and the 'future bills' now show new dates in Sept 2026 for exact same monthly price. In a bit of a quandry now as was going to leave and get Sports via Now TV, as that is pretty much all I use Sky for these days. Continuing offer includes fibre broadband. Pretty sure I could get a better price but monthly payments are £85 for Signature/Sports pack/HD/Cinema/Fibre broadband.0

Are Sky still sending emails, SMS or snail mail offers to customers who have let their cancellations end?
I am 3 weeks on from ending Sky and haven't had any offers but in the past when I have done this I got offers.
I am on Sky Q if that matters and have got my returns box to send stuff back to them.0 -
Go onto sky website and do a quote. May have to use next doors house numbers and see what the offer is.kassy64 said:To continue this theme, I also have had all my offers extended by 12 months. Are you sure it shows September 26 next year?0 -
Yep, 100%. I also received the following email last week. It does state my monthly bill will be increasing, but it hasn't exactly the same as currently paying (until April 26 I presume). It also states there is NO new contract so effectively can leave when I wish going forward and hopefully secure a better deal.Boohoo said:

My future bills only went a few months I think and not over a year.0 -
No, viewing bills has never been possible that far ahead. I meant the future bills I can see at present for next few months show the applicable discounts valid until October 2026.Boohoo said:

just did the dance with my dad sky contract
he was paying £64 a month due to annual increases
was going up to £75 out of contract
after some initial offers got him £51.50 (signature £27.50 and sky sports and sports hd £24.
he was happy as alot less than he was currently paying
24month deal and he was happy not to cancel and go back etc
also the waived the admin fee which i always hate. know he has been with them a long time which know it helps on admin as i can never get it off my bills1 -
you would get this package for cheaper if you put in the 31 days cancellation notice and let it run out, signature can be done for £15-£20 and sports can be done for £12-£13, id def reconsider this new contract if I were you, you have 14 days cool off period in order to withdraw from itreefer37 said:just did the dance with my dad sky contract

Cancelled Sky TV in April and have ignored any all or email since. Decided the Fire stick was too much messing around so called to get a quote.
Ended up with Sky Q Essentials (No Netflix) with UHD for £7 a month for 2 years with first 2 months free. Sky Stream was significantly more expensive.
Have Virgin 1GB for £30 a month so don't use Sky for that
Very happy with the outcome0 -
I rejoined a few months after cancellation and was surprised to see I was still PlatinumEksmom1973 said:I have just cancelled sky tv. I was with them for 16 years but really wasn't happy with the price they offered me. If the contract does now lapse but I then phone them to restart it do I lose my platinum level does anybody know?
Thank you in advance.1
