    Re-contracted for the following:

    Sky Signature: £19.50
    Sports: £8
    Cinema: £3.90
    Sports HD: £2
    HD: £4
    UHD: £4

    No admin fee.

    Total = £41.40

I had been paying £58 and Id previously given my 30 days notice to leave as it was increasing to £90
Seems very good that, how did ya get that? Wait till tv switched off?
I gave my 30 days notice cancellation, then called them back a week later asking what there best price is before I push the button and order virgin, they came straight in with the above price but with £20 admin, I said if they drop the admin charge its a deal.
  • So after my post the other day, I was offered this after a couple of minutes when I call up today:
    Sky signature - £20
    sky sports - £8
    Sky cinema - £7
    HD - £2

They are also sending me a new sky Q box. That’s £37 per month and no admin fee. That’s better than I was on originally, and better than the offers they gave me before I left. They also said I get 2 free vue tickets per month, which I won’t complain about.

Not sure if I could have haggled more, but I’m happy with that nevertheless.

What number was that on Rich and had you actually left Sky or still in your cancellation period?

    It's time to renew again,
Just phoned them up to cancel.
They offered me their best final price of £48.50 per month (incl. the april price rises), a 2 Year Contract.
For Sky Q (no sky broadband) with Signature £21.50, HD £4, Sports in HD £23.
Can i get a better deal if i hold out and cancel existing contract etc.
Whats the best i can expect these days?
    TIA

I just recontracted at the exit price from my old contract, but with no further rises till April 2026.

Not great, not terrible, if it was just me I'd have held out but it's not worth the whining from others in the house.

Mind you it does come with a further 30 days cooling off wondering if there is any mileage in a further cancellation now I have at least this number in as a baseline...

And I thought I was getting hosed...

The only difference between my package and yours is that I have TNT and don't have broadband/phone, so frankly we should be about evens for price (TNT alone is close to £30). I ended up on £105/month, which I still thought was a bit 'toppy'
  • Will let  you know how i get on.. will call them this week.....
