Just nearly had a heart attack when I realised my Sky offers had ended and next month's bill was going up from £107 to £161!
    Package is now:-
    Signature                 £35
    Ultimate                   £8
    Sports +HD              £33 +£2
    Cinema                    £13
    HD                           £9
    Multiroom                £15
    Full Fibre B/B          £46      Totalling  £161

Have just come off Sky Chat (which ended unexpectedly without confirmation of cancellation) and was offered the following:-
    Signature                 £24.50
    Ultimate                   £10.50
    Sports + HD            £24  + £0
    Cinema                    £10
    HD                           £5
    Multiroom                £13
    B/B                          £34      Totalling  £121

Have priced up Virgin Media which is £79 for a comparable package so definitely not going ahead with this!
Having to pay extra for HD is just ridiculous when broadcasters are all starting to provide HD programmes as standard and all TV's are HD now.
When did watching TV become so expensive???? Hoping that Mits999 knows what they're talking about as I've got a box full of recordings I'd be loathe to lose!

Got back in touch by Chat to confirm cancellation, but it hadn't been actioned. After waiting for 45 minutes to get through, I was disconnected and had to start again. Luckily got straight through this time and was then offered a total price of £115. Still too high for telly!! Have now cancelled the TV bit (31 days notice) but the broadband only had 14 days notice so am waiting a couple of weeks to cancel this.
Will keep you all updated :))) !!

I gave up on the chat bot after about 5 hours over 3 days, they couldn't even answer my questions about pricing! Stayed with sky even though i probably could geta better deal elsewhere but i had lost the will to fight!

Maybe that's sky's latest method of customer retention - making it impossible to contact them so customers can't leave.

If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.

I'd recommend not cancelling broadband, but instead transferring it elsewhere. If you cancel, you then have to try to align your new service start date with your old service stop date, taking a risk you could lose service, or accept you'll be paying for both for a period of time.

I found it quite cathartic to have my BB with a different supplier, simplifying my TV negotiation with Sky.

My Sky contract was coming to an end and I was paying:

    Signature £26.50
    Ultimate (Netflix) £8
    HD £5
    Multiroom £14
    Superfast BB £29.50
    BB Boost £5.50
    Total £88.50

Out of contract the total is £119 which I wasn't willing to pay.

A couple of sessions on Sky chat later and I have got it to:

    Signature £25.50
    Ultimate (Netflix) £4.50
    HD £4
    Multiroom £10
    Superfast BB £29
    BB Boost £3
    Total £76.00

I don't think is too bad.

I would suggest NOT cancelling broadband as you will be without internet, you should just transfer it I.e get Vodafone to transfer it to them

If you can sign up online, you should be able to cancel online. Hampering customers from leaving or making them have a protracted phone call shouldn't be allowed, but then companies seem to get away with a lot these days unchecked.

    Seeking advice please...

Over the last few years I've haggled to a deal that is fair, not great, but acceptable.
My plan is (Looking to keep exact same plan):
    TV
Sky Signature ends 17 August 2025
    Ultimate TV Add On (Netflix)
    Discovery+ standard

    BB
    Full Fibre 150 ends 28 Feb 2025

The cost is going up from £59.50 to £73.00 - which for what i have is, imo, just way too much.

I have rang up twice and they have said it is too early to give me a good deal.
My next bill is 21st Jan at £59.50. and then Feb 21st it is £73.00.  They have said to ring up in February, but i am very anxious about the increase and just want it sorted.

Broadband, TV, Sport, Movies, Netflix, Internet and Phone was £183 they got it to £66 for 2 4 months - but im not sure if that is SkyQ or Glass.
I referred to this when attempting to negotiate and they asked me, and i did not know which one.- so i will use SkyQ deals on this thread to negotiate.

Thoughts appreciated on how to get the best deal and when best to ring up.

Also, when i used to negotiate i spoke to people in Newcastle, now i am getting through to India. What is the best number to ring to get to the people that can give me best deals?

    Thanks!

Cancel tv off fully so it’s completely switched off then you negotiate from there onwards for best possible price
