Did you have stream previously? I couldn’t get any offers and they let me leave

Yeah. I cancelled just before Xmas and had a call yesterday. They did open higher (£90) but I wasn't that interested at 90 and they came down.

Would say I've never signed up as a new customer (except for the very first time, obviously), so I have a history on my account, going back to the original Sky Digital days, of leaving for a couple of years or so when prices are too much. I don't know if that made a difference, but they were very interested in what services I'd be using once Sky went off.

Lose Ultimate TV in four days, and Sky Sports later. Must admit, I thought I’d be inundated with emails and phone calls from retentions, but no. Even when I rang to cancel, they didn’t seem too bothered.

As had been mentioned above, I don’t think they’re bothered about customer numbers, more the value of each package. It may well backfire, or someone may have done the maths and found it works better for them. 🤷‍♂️
  • I’ve been a Sky customer for 9 years my offers were coming to an end. I spoke to retentions.

    i have
    Signature
    Netflix
    HD

they quoted me £40. I spoke to them again the other day and best they said they could do was £35 I said I wanted to go ahead with my cancellation and it’s due to end on 18/1

I haven’t had a box as of yet to send equipment back. Not sure if they even will offer me a better deal. I had major problems with them last year I was quoted prices and then they changed their mind 3 x times I was prepared to leave then.

i don’t even think they want to be loyal to this customers anymore. I did like the layout of SKy Q where everything is in same place. But not for £35 a month for 24 months
  • Been out of contract since November so my Sky Broadband had risen to £43pm from £25.
Called the Priority Team in October before contract ended and best he could offer was £38pm. I wasn't impressed so he said if I was prepared to hang on for a while they usually have more offers out in December.
So having stayed put, I called back on 7th January and enquired again. I was surprised to find they still could offer me nothing but the same £5 reduction, and the lady talking to me seemed just as surprised there was nothing on her screen that gave her hope of retaining me as a customer.
Have had a scheduled follow up call today, and the story is the same. So I am in no doubt I will be switching in the very near future.
It seems to me that Sky have now got so greedy that they are only interested in keeping customers that just let their subscriptions rise year on year without question, or gaining new customers just to build numbers. There seems no effort at all to keep long term customers.
I have been with Sky for 22 years, and the customer service people seem embarrassed that they are unable to offer me a fair deal to stay, especially when I point out that Sky are offering new customers deals that are nearly 50% less than customers who have been contributing to their business for decades.
I dropped my Sky TV last summer as the same thing occurred, and signed up to Now TV for £20 less than i was paying Sky. Haven't regretted that decision and doubt I'll regret dropping their broadband either.

Just nearly had a heart attack when I realised my Sky offers had ended and next month's bill was going up from £107 to £161!
    Package is now:-
    Signature                 £35
    Ultimate                   £8
    Sports +HD              £33 +£2
    Cinema                    £13
    HD                           £9
    Multiroom                £15
    Full Fibre B/B          £46      Totalling  £161

Have just come off Sky Chat (which ended unexpectedly without confirmation of cancellation) and was offered the following:-
    Signature                 £24.50
    Ultimate                   £10.50
    Sports + HD            £24  + £0
    Cinema                    £10
    HD                           £5
    Multiroom                £13
    B/B                          £34      Totalling  £121

Have priced up Virgin Media which is £79 for a comparable package so definitely not going ahead with this!
Having to pay extra for HD is just ridiculous when broadcasters are all starting to provide HD programmes as standard and all TV's are HD now.
When did watching TV become so expensive???? Hoping that Mits999 knows what they're talking about as I've got a box full of recordings I'd be loathe to lose!

    ultra hd £1

i’m an EX Sky Manager prices based on Sky Q
Appreciate this info but judging by the last couple of pages of posts, how on earth do you get them to offer these lower prices. A lot of heads banged against brick walls.
As i mentioned on the last page "I note Sky Q with Sports and Netflix through the website appears to be £64.50 even to new customers now" (that's Signature including HD) so they are not even offering the prices on your second list to brand new customers on day 1.
If these prices are achievable then it's good news.

I think they go through spells of trying to retain customers and spells of trying to gain new, at the moment they’re not interested in retaining.
