Sky TV retention deals ( post your haggling successes )

Current service - Sky Signature, Sports HD, HD, UHD, Ultimate TV (Netflix)
Sept 2023, £37 per month after a ridiculous amount of haggling.April 2024, £40 per month after a complaint about Sky increasing the cost over-and-above that provided for in the contract.
March 2025 'future bill predication' £90.50.
First contact after saying that'll be unacceptable and confirming notice period, offered £71 + £10 Admin fee.
At 91% more than 10 months ago that won't be happening!
So it'll be notice in Feb and seeing if that produces anything sensible or cancelling, and going out-of-service (as done in Summer 2023).
Why Sky always have to invite a 'what do I actually watch against what I'm paying? review is hard to follow.

Sure it's on here somewhere but I can't find it.
Which is the best phone number to call & how do I find the chat to real person option?
Thanks
(My price has gone up 9 months into what I thought was an 18 month contract!)0 -

My elderly Dad has been a "loyal and valued"customer for nearly 25 years. I'd always assumed he was paying about £30 a month so nearly fell off my chair when I saw a recent bank statement showing just over £100 a month for a basic package plus Sports!
So thanks to this and other forums I went into a polite but painful battle with them just over a month ago. We agreed we wanted ...
Sky Q 1TB box with Sky Signature basic package (replacing an old Sky+ box)Sky Multiroom with 1 minibox (so mum can watch in bed)
Netflix Standard with no adsI figured I could haggle this to around £55 per month.
First of all, internet chat is a complete and utter waste of time and effort. In 2 prolonged (over an hour each) chats during Black Friday week I was offered conflicting and contradictory packages at a multitude of prices. I was clear I didn't want broadband or mobile, but they kept reoffering these deals. Whenever I would read back the deal I thought we'd struck, they would come back with a different package or price!
In the end I just told them to cancel the whole contract. It took over 40 minutes for them to actually agree to cancel. You have to be patient, dogged and determined!
In the past month I've had a couple of bland emails and texts i.e. "You don't have to leave. Call us to explore your options", but no direct contact from them. I called the last number (03337 594 451) a couple of days before the end of the contract and got straight through to a UK agent. I had to force them to stay on focus (they don't really seem to know their own packages in detail) and just price up the deal I wanted. In the end (15 minutes) I got their best and final price of £65 per month.
I politely declined and said I was sticking to my target of £55 per month.
Noone has called me back and the contract ended yesterday. My dad still wants Sky Sports, so I'm going to get him 6 months on NowTV for £26 per month, then we'll look at options again when his broadband goes out of contract in July.
In my opinion Sky are lazily shooting themselves in the foot by having incompetent first line customer service and little appetite to negotiate clearly and concisely. Dad must have paid them at least £15,000 over 25 years! That's a lot of money just to watch TV!Sky does have a department that is supposed to assist in this sort of situation called "Priority Customers" prioritycustomers@sky.ukCould be worth trying them first ?
If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.0 -

Succesfully haggled with them via their online chat today. Very annoyed with myself as i hadn't noticed my contact had actually expired about 8 months ago and i'd never recieved any emails or contact other than the usual "your bill is increasing" but it wasn't clear my contract had ended.anyway i logged into my account today and realised i was well out of contact. I was paying £80 out of contract for SKY Signature, Sky sports and HD - after speaking to them on chat I've gotten this down to £55 a month. They originally offered £65 but i politely declined and they came back to me with £55. I can only imagine the fact that i've been stupidly been paying the full out of contact price for months possibly helped as they've had a small fortune off me due to my stupidity.0

My bill was going from £37 to £50 nine months into an 18-month contract! (For Signature/Netflix with ads/Multiscreen/HD/UHD)
I'd missed the point that some of the discounts were for 9 months only.
Tried live chat. Hopeless. Got nowhere in 45 mins and then got cut off anyway.
Phoned got transferred twice but ended up at £30.50 for the same deal except for HD & UHD.
24-month deal but the email says an 18-month min term.
Going to see how good the upscaling is on my new TV. If it's no good I'll add back the HD.0 -
Sky don’t seem to be trying too hard to retain customers now, been with them 26 years and tbh, just tired of paying for so many repeats so gave notice last month, was paying £40 which increased to £46 and then £51 and was going to increase to £76 next month for entertainment, HD and Sports. The sum total of retention attempts is a single text to call them (which I haven’t, as I don’t think they’re worth even a ¼ of what they charge).
As of the 3rd I’ll be using a Humax Freeview Play box for most of the channels we watch (and can still record/pause/FF/Rew) and a Now subscription.====0
