We currently have
Movies
Sport
Entertainment
UHD
Multi Room
Netflix
For £59 introductory offer, best they could do us £79 saying it usually £90 odd so gonna cancel, too expensive got anyway
Might let my Sky TV contract end and then look to see if they would add Stream to the other b/band contract (different name).0 -

Currently negotiating a deal for my parents with sky. They were paying 160pm once there contract was up with extras they didn't need, like kids tv, broadband boost and ultra hd.
They have offered 92pm for ultimate tv, sky cinema, sky sports, ultrafast broadband and HD. Paramount free and Netflix ad supported for 4.99. Does this seem good deal? I have always been with Virgin media so I am not used to Sky's retention procedure and ways to get the best deals.

What is the b/band speed?
I got quoted £93.50 for:
500mb b/band
Signature
Sports
Cinema
Netflix premium
HD
UHD
Even assuming its the same b/band speed - then UHD and Netflix premium for £1.50 extra would say that is higher than you could achieve.
Also - I declined the offer as it was the 'first stage' i.e. before cancellation submitted, and expect to get better over the next 4-6 weeks.0 -
Apologies if this isn't the right place to post. Just had a success with Now TV Sky Sports price. For a while I've been paying £20 per month plus £6 per month for HD boost as a time limited offer, normal price is about £35 per month. I got an email at the end of the offer period giving me another offer but upped the price to £26.99 per month plus the £6 boost.
I decided to cancel and went through numerous screens on the website to cancel.
Eventually a screen appeared offering me £17.99 per month for the next 6 months. I was still in 2 minds even at that price but did take the offer.1 -
Thanks to everyone who has posted in this thread - it has informed my decision to leave Sky-Q and move to EETV.I already have EE broadband so adding EETV was extremely simple.I now have the EE "Full Works" package. This includes :-Sky EntertainmentSky SportsTNT SportsSky CinemaHD on most channelsNetflix StandardExtra Mini-BoxDiscovery+EurosportApple TV (6 months free)The cost of this package is £60 per month. (not including broadband). The out of contract price from Sky (excluding Cinema and Netflix) was £121.I am sure I could have negotiated the Sky price down using the standard Cancel/Haggle/Beg method but I have had enough of this. It is time Sky realised that there business practices are driving customers away. Before anyone asks, there are some limitations to the EETV system compared to Sky-Q (mainly with the mini-box), but not enough to worry me.1

Call from Sky this morning to see "how the cancellation call and customer service" went and did I have any feedback? This was obviously a link to a call to try and offer a better deal.
First offer was £58 - I wavered and said that I'd need to think about it. Told the offer was only available as a 'call-out' and couldn't be guaranteed to be available again but that they would "speak to their manager".
The new 'deal' was £53 with a waived £20 admin fee (well a credit to offset).
Decided to accept this as its currently a £1 less than we are currently paying (albeit will be subject to the annual increases) even though I could potentially I could have got a better deal by going through with the cancellation.
For me it is a balance of hassle and value - my target was sub £60 and to get it for £7 less is good enough.
Summary for those in similar situations:
Package: Signature / Netflix Premium / Sport / Cinema / HD / UHD
Previous cost per month: £54
Without intervention: £99
Initial call to discuss cancelation: £67.50
By the end of the initial call: £64.40 declined and cancelation issued (5th December)
Initial offer from Sky call to me (9th December): £58 plus £20 admin fee
Final offer on the same call: £53 plus £20 admin fee credited back

My contract was due to end in early February 2025, but Sky emailed me last week informing me of price rises for 3 elements of my deal. Therefore, this triggered the negotiating window.
I was tipped off that the best deals are offered if you use Sky Direct, and have a message based conversation with them, rather than ringing and speaking to them.
This proved to be correct as the price I have accepted via Sky Direct was much better than the one I was offered a few days previously by ringing them.I was paying £94 per month but am now paying £93.50 per month for a slightly better package:
Signature
Sports HD
HD
1 Multiroom box
Broadband (was 150mb, now 500mb)
Landline (no cost)
which I felt was the best I could do without leaving in February and trying my luck then.On the phone, Sky had been offering a reduction from £135 (which I was never going to pay) to £125 (ditto).
A few points to bear in mind:
* It takes ages to go through Sky Direct - it took me 1 hour 20 minutes, and I’m told that 1 hour is just about normal. But it got me a far better offer.
* The contract is for 2 years, rather than the 18 months they offered in the past.
* Despite trying, I could not get out of their one-off £20 admin charge.
Good luck!0 -

I have similar package, everything except Sport. They offered me same price as you, £53 (first £55 and then reduce to £53) but I turned it down (I'm currently paying £44)
Asked for cancellation and it will be processed in January.
As this is my first time actually going through cancellation (before I was always able to get decent deal before actually asking for cancellation), what's the latest day you can renew without losing tenure? Do they usually call/send you email before and offer a better deal?
Thanks.0
