The broadband is Sky Broadband superfast inc pay as you talk on a Landline
The TV is Sky Signature with Multi room, no Cinema, no Sport
BT finally got around to installing Full Fibre in my area this year so I would want to upgrade to take advantage of faster speed.
The cost had crept up over 18 months from 51 to 59 quid
When I called to cancel I was offered same TV with their 900 Full Fibre package for £64.50 with the landline.
I declined this offer, then got an email and text saying Sky had an exclusive offer for me !!. When I called back, was told the offer was for what I already had no upgrade on the broadband for £55.50. The caller did not want to negotiate and simply stated they were "the last chance saloon" ??
Am I being a little unrealistic to try and push for a price under or around £50 ? as in 3 or 4 months, Sky will charge another £5
I have never waited until the end of the contract, but I had some joy with my mobile in the summer.
Fingers crossed
The Vodafone broadband does look tempting, especially with the supposed 4g backup connection on their hardware
Their TV package is not up to much !! free Apple tv for 3 months .. meh.0 -

Managed to get everything including Netflix Premium for £69 a month, 2 days before it was due to go off1

To add to the background of information.
Curent package:
Signature
Cinema
Sport
Netflix premium
UHD
£54 pcm (was negotiated at £46.50 before the April mandatory price rise).
Best deal I got this morning with one month to go on the deal when trying to cancel was £64.50 pcm after 2 "let me speak to my manager to get you the best possible deal" interventions.
We do have b/band with them (500mb for £35 pcm) under my wife's name that is due to end in February. They did try to offer to cancel that without charge and add it to my account for £29 pcm. However I assume I could get this or similar in February so left it to just be a TV cost.
Cancellation processed and service ends in January.
Will see how things go - last few times I have had to let the service come to an end for a week, before contacting them (on a spurious question about the returns process) to get a really good deal at the time IMO.
Happy to leave it until then and see what happens.0 -
