My contact ends on Thursday.  I have Ultimate, Sport, UHD, Netflix, Ad skipping on Stream.  I was offered a discount of £3 a month for a 24 month contact with 2 in contract price rises.  I declined so Thursday is my last day. 18 months ago it was £53 a month and is now £76 without discounts.

So after 12 years looks like I'm off too.

    Current contract is £144 for
    Sky Signature

    Sky HD

    Sky Sports - Complete Pack

    Sky Go Extra

    Ultimate TV Add on

    Netflix Standard

Plus landline with weekend calls. My own fault I've let it creep up. Told them I'd had enough of paying so much but was happy with their service so perfectly happy to sign up for two years.
But, their best offer was £90 incl the two price increases. Said no and agreed to the month notice to cancel

Then just got a couple of texts, no other contact.
I thought I'd give them another chance so sat on the chat for two hours, they were "catching up", to get an offer of the same package for £95 with the two price increases
Said no, repeated I was otherwise happy with the service but made clear I'd been looking at alternatives and speaking with neighbours about their deals and found some very strong offers from their competitors like TalkTalk and Virgin but got nothing.
I mentioned I'm still happy to stay as we've never had any issues with their service, but nowt.

So, cut off date is the 15th and they sent me a text yesterday that I had 48hrs to let them know what I'm going to do - So are they cutting me off earlier ?

A neighbour has a great deal from TalkTalk. Much faster broadband for less then I'm paying so I'm enquiring with them. tomorrow.
F1 is the only thing I really make a point of watching, my OH watches way more TV than me. Annoying I have to pay for sports I have 0 interest in to get the F1 channel, which I think they do really well..

I'm currently tempted to get TalkTalk for broadband and Now TV for the TV needs as I'm so annoyed with Sky

Virgin Mega Bundle is £85 (plus free 43 inch Hisense TV or £200 bill credit) and you get everything that’s possible to get (except Sky Atlantic), Netflix standard 1gb broadband, O2 sim for phone.  Does shoot up massively after contract so you have to cancel and wait for an offer

if you just want sport it’s £60pm currently (bigger bundle plus sports HD package, just double check with virgin that the sports channels actually are HD first though) and you’ll get a free 43 inch Hisense Tv or £200 bill credit also

if you stick with Sky I’d call their 0333 number to negotiate Tv only and get your cheaper broadband from Talk Talk or whoever you choose.  I found in past they far more flexible with the Tv as that’s the part in their control. As others have said on here ask how much they can do it for if you want to add movies, as they often do sports and cinema cheaper than just sports on its own.
It's really weird, but every time I've contacted Virgin I've never got a response from them
I might give them a ring tomorrow

I've decided I'll go somewhere else for my Broadband. Certainly better offers away from Sky.

I'm a positive person but I'm not expecting much from them

I'm paying £52 for the same,  I think you'd have to go past the cancellation date before they get serious.  The thing I learnt was that they have some backroom offers team that feed the offers to the call handling people.  So when you call they can do nothng except relay the back room offer.  The back room offer seems entirely based on your current price and not their bottom line.
I forgot to ask, is your £52 just for TV or for the whole package?

I gave notice to cancel on 29th July. Received text yesterday advising to call 03337 594 840 to discuss options. Called this morning and here is the deal I agreed to -

Sky Signature - £21.50 (usual price is £36.50)

    HD - £4.00 - (usual price is £9.00)

Sky Sport including HD - £13.00 (usual price is £37.00)

Cinema - £13.00 (priced at £10.00 on chat on 25th July but guy said offer no longer in place)

    Total - £51.50

    24 month contract.

Waived admin fee of £20.00 as diamond VIP customer.

Happy with this as price on chat was £62.50. I had previously been paying £56.00 and full price was £93.50. Thanks to everyone who shares their deals on here, it really helps to know what is being offered.

Just been offered this when I was cancelling (via live):

    Sky signature £24.50

    Netflix £11.50

    Sky HD £5

    UHD £0.33

Sky Sports Complete including Sky Sports+ £24

    TNT sports £27

    Total £92.33

Will go for cancelling now as it is just not worth it. Does anyone with the same packages able to comment on what they managed to get?

That looks expensive. I renewed (towards end of cancellation period) Signature + Netflix (no ads) + cinema + sports + HD for £59/month. This was a couple of months back, before they upped the contracts to 24 months.

If we take off TNT, you're paying £65 for the same without cinema.

As an aside, UHD for 33p? Really?

Believable - as my UHD is 33p too. And honestly it's not worth it as I get Netflix Premium which is UHD anyway. Don't see much benefit having F1 in UHD Vs HD either

You probably want to target approx £70. Most people don't get much discount on TNT so if you accept £25 for TNT then you are looking at getting the rest for £45

Thanks. I had the same rough figure of £70 - 75 in mind as well. Only just started the cancellation, will see how that goes.
