Called on 03337 594 840 (in response to a Sky text) and ended up with Sky
    Signature
    Sports HD
    Cinema and Paramount +
    HD

For £45.50 but I have to pay £20 up front (I don't know quite why). To be quite honest, I am reasonably happy with the price even tho there will be 2 increases during the 2 year contract. I was due to be switched off on 22nd Aug.

    What do you think?

The £20 is an "admin fee" and is a total rip off and pure money gouging. I've never paid it in 16 years and would rather leave Sky if they ever pushed it.

As for the rest, it's whatever you're happy with surely?

Having given notice have received email offering sky signature and sports for £37.50 a month. Have to ring or chat to get that will leave it a week so if anything better offered but happy with that
If that includes HD then that is almost the best offer I've seen in a while ! I'm paying £50.50 for Signature/Sports in HD

I think that it is disgusting that sky charge approximately £10 for HD
It's about time that it was considered normal / included for everyone
Almost like saying BBC 1 is going to cost you extra

Finally after 21 years I’m no longer a Sky Customer. I cancelled a month ago as they couldn’t do better than £66.50. This doesn’t include two April hike the price rises and whatever Sky decide to increase the packages by during the contract.

When I called retentions I was greeted by the worst customer service advisor I’ve ever come across on Sky. No conversation or attempt to offer a better deal, just get me off the phone as quickly as possible. The limit of his interest was “you have 31 days to change your mind”. In the past I’ve managed to come to a reasonable contract agreement but this year I’ve contacted three different retention advisors since my deal ended in May and they’re all reading from the same script. Also I have a contract to watch TNT sport through Sky via my BT Broadband deal. Their advice “take it up with BT your contracts with them as you won’t be able to view it in on your Sky box”.

Yesterday Sky sent me the usual text with their 03337594451 number and to give it a call if I’m interested in continuing my contract. To be honest my viewing has changed and I can no longer be bothered haggling with a company that couldn’t care less. BT have been extremely helpful and I’m close to resolving the TNT sport problem.

I wouldn’t recommend Sky to anyone now. Their customer service is deplorable compared to years ago.

    It’s GOODBYE SKY.

Left Sky at the end of June, was called yesterday offering the Sky Stream package for £20 (entertainment and Netflix only in HD). Said I'd already got the Netflix basic package for £5. They came back with an offer of £13. Asked for it to be put in an email for me to look into, now find out they've taken that as confirming the order and sending the kit out!

Will be refusing the delivery but gives you a price point they are willing to drop to for those interested.

Complained to Sky who have said they'll look at "re-educating" the person that called me.

I left last month. Got a call about a week onto my notice period offering Signature, Kids, HD and Netflix with Ads for £30 (I had been paying £31, about to increase to £39.50, for the above but with Netflix Standard without ads). I declined and was told it was an 'end of line' offer - meaning there would be no further offers from them. True to their word, there haven't been.

I thought they might have tried to tempt me over to Sky Stream with a better offer, but that wasn't mentioned on the call. They were prepared for me to leave and I was prepared to leave.

So I've now subscribed to Netflix with Ads for £5 and we use a Virgin Stream box for the free channels, apps etc, with the option to add all the pay channels on a month by month basis if ever we run out of things to watch (five weeks in so far and no sign of that happening yet).

So that's a net saving of £26 per month vs our previous Sky spend going towards our newly increased mortgage costs.

So after 12 years looks like I'm off too.

    Current contract is £144 for
    Sky Signature

    Sky HD

    Sky Sports - Complete Pack

    Sky Go Extra

    Ultimate TV Add on

    Netflix Standard

Plus landline with weekend calls. My own fault I've let it creep up. Told them I'd had enough of paying so much but was happy with their service so perfectly happy to sign up for two years.
But, their best offer was £90 incl the two price increases. Said no and agreed to the month notice to cancel

Then just got a couple of texts, no other contact.
I thought I'd give them another chance so sat on the chat for two hours, they were "catching up", to get an offer of the same package for £95 with the two price increases
Said no, repeated I was otherwise happy with the service but made clear I'd been looking at alternatives and speaking with neighbours about their deals and found some very strong offers from their competitors like TalkTalk and Virgin but got nothing.
I mentioned I'm still happy to stay as we've never had any issues with their service, but nowt.

So, cut off date is the 15th and they sent me a text yesterday that I had 48hrs to let them know what I'm going to do - So are they cutting me off earlier ?

A neighbour has a great deal from TalkTalk. Much faster broadband for less then I'm paying so I'm enquiring with them. tomorrow.
F1 is the only thing I really make a point of watching, my OH watches way more TV than me. Annoying I have to pay for sports I have 0 interest in to get the F1 channel, which I think they do really well..

I'm currently tempted to get TalkTalk for broadband and Now TV for the TV needs as I'm so annoyed with Sky

Virgin Mega Bundle is £85 (plus free 43 inch Hisense TV or £200 bill credit) and you get everything that’s possible to get (except Sky Atlantic), Netflix standard 1gb broadband, O2 sim for phone.  Does shoot up massively after contract so you have to cancel and wait for an offer

if you just want sport it’s £60pm currently (bigger bundle plus sports HD package, just double check with virgin that the sports channels actually are HD first though) and you’ll get a free 43 inch Hisense Tv or £200 bill credit also

if you stick with Sky I’d call their 0333 number to negotiate Tv only and get your cheaper broadband from Talk Talk or whoever you choose.  I found in past they far more flexible with the Tv as that’s the part in their control. As others have said on here ask how much they can do it for if you want to add movies, as they often do sports and cinema cheaper than just sports on its own.

I'm paying £52 for the same,  I think you'd have to go past the cancellation date before they get serious.  The thing I learnt was that they have some backroom offers team that feed the offers to the call handling people.  So when you call they can do nothng except relay the back room offer.  The back room offer seems entirely based on your current price and not their bottom line.
