Call them up and discuss Sky Q options as I don't think you will be able to get Q via chat.

If no good deal put in your cancellation.

I don't know the criteria for getting Q but Sky hd+ is very old.

If you get Q an installer will have to come to your home to do the installation as a new lnb will be needed and possible a dish.

The mini box is wireless so no cable to run.

If you have stuff on the hd boxes watch them before switch off as they can't be transferred or make a note of them and if you get Q see if you can download them again.

Edit. If you go to Sky Q and in April price rises you can cancel the contract 31 day notice penalty free but once you change to Q you will not be able to go back to hd+.

£42.50 with no discount, no one can predict what Sky will offer you though.

I'm paying £21.50 for Signature, £5.50 for Netflix, £4 for HD and £26 for 500Mbps Sky BB.

The only thing that's important is if you're happy. One thing though that stands out is the extra £7 for the 2.5Gbps BB, be aware that you'll likely not get the full speed to the hub due to contention (let alone over wifi). This is based on other customers experiences on the Sky forums.

Given your previous stated usage I wouldn't go near the new 1.6Gbps service at that price, in fact I'd ask them how much for the 150Mbps broadband and save yourself a few quid.

I've had a similar offer as a Sky Diamond TV member - I'm still in contract with Plusnet for another ~ 9 months - Prices look reasonable but you can get better offers via sites like Topcashback because there are various voucher offers available in addition to lower prices.

As an aside WHY would any normal home user want such high download speeds ? Unless it's a student house with multiple gamers, it's massive overkill.

I need to renew my skytv…. i think skybroadband is still in contract… im actually dreading the effort to try and get a deal… any suggestions from anyone…? best way to contact? best things to say?

i cant even see online (not on app) where my current package details are - can someone advise?

Log in to your Sky account and go to manage account > bills. Phone them early morning has always been my best time. Check how long you've got for the broadband and then check Virgins deals for an equivalent package. Use that as leverage and if no deal, ask them to set the TV only to turn off with your 31 days notice. Tell them you'll use the OTS service to switch broadband. Be prepared to follow through.
