No, it will still be HD as with as other freeview HD broadcasted Channels.Helonwheels said:Does anyone know if I remove HD, not worth anywhere near £9, will I still have access to BBC1 HD?0 -
It's a minimum 31 day cancellation notice, you can put your notice in at any time but some agents don't want to add you to their stats. Time for a complaint as they refused to set a cancellation which should help in renegotiating.PenguinForever said:Also guys, on the phone, I did try to cancel (I got a little annoyed!) but she said I can’t cancel until 31 days and gave me a date - but surely if I give 31 days or more notice it should be ok?0 -
Suggest you view the SD versions of any Sky channels that you watch regularly before removing HD - some of them are almost unwatchable on an HD/4K TV. There are only ~ 15 channels available in HD without the extra cost and most of these are the BBC channels or news.Helonwheels said:Does anyone know if I remove HD, not worth anywhere near £9, will I still have access to BBC1 HD?2 -
You should be able to far better than this. I'd estimate £60 for sky +netflix + broadband.PenguinForever said:Hey guys!
looking for a little bit of advice! I have Sky Q - the basic package, no extras. We also have one multi room and the basic broadband package. We currently pay £59 but this is going up in May to £80! I refuse to pay this amount. I phoned up to see if I can get it cheaper, but they offered around £75, which is still pricey!
What can I reasonably expect guys to be a good offer? I just want what I receive currently, but obviously, not to be charged this amount
. As a side note, we do currently pay £17.99 for Netflix a month separately for sky.
And yes I have had the "you need to give 31 days notice" line every single time and responded with "I am giving you 45 days notice"..
I think their advisors are either told that they need to convince customers to ring back on a certain day to cancel or they are just genuinely a little uneducated.0 -

If it helps I was offered signature and sports for £37. Also Sky's netflix discount is less generous these days and probably only £1 or £2 cheaper2 -
Hi all,
Thought I would post the offer I accepted after cancelling, waiting for the comeback SMS (11 days later) and then calling up 03337 594 840. I'm a diamond customer and was not asked to pay any one off costs. I've posted the estimated bill for July as this is the first stable bill.Sky Signature, 15 Jul - 14 Aug, £18.00 (Previous price: 34)
Sky Sports - Complete Pack, 15 Jul - 14 Aug, £15.00 (Previous price: 33)
Sky Sports HD, 15 Jul - 14 Aug, £2.00 (Previous price: 6)
Sky HD, 15 Jul - 14 Aug, £4.00 (Previous price: 9)
Multiscreen, 15 Jul - 14 Aug, £10.00 (Previous price: 15)
See It First, 15 Jul - 14 Aug, £0.00
I used the info from this thread for benchmarking (thank you everyone) and decided to drop UHD (offered at £2) otherwise my contract is unchanged from the previous 18m. Their broadband offers were not compelling as I only have FTTC so there was no point switching from my stable service of the last 15 years with Plusnet.
Hope this is useful for someone else.
