    🤞🤞🤞 for you!

After more than 20 odd years of being a Sky customer, this is the only time that I’ve ever had to get into cancelling, I’ve always been happy with an offer the retention team quoted. This time has been traumatic 😱

hope to see you post that you’ve been successful too, thanks again for posting the number 😊

I'm looking to get something done today as my sky TV and Broadband is out of contract.

    I'm paying

    Signature - £31.40
    Broadband Super fast - £39.5
    Total = £70.90

I've called a few times but not getting anywhere near prices that are mentioned here.

Maybe as I haven't got HD. UHD, Sports, Cinema, multi room etc.

If I put in a 30 day notice for cancellation would that also affect my broadband or should I Sort broadband out separately?

I'm off work today so need to call them today.

How did you get on? I'm looking to do exactly the same today while I have a day off too.

Can't find a single option for Live Chat. I prefer live chat as I have been promised so many things over the phone only for it to fall on its backside. With Live Chat I get a copy of what is said.

I've tried the mobile text option but keep getting a message to say:
'Hi, it's Sky. This contact option is currently not in use. To reach one of our experts, please visit online to find the correct details: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/contacting-sky'
I didn't get round to it as noone replied with. Suggestion.
I got round to calling tonight.

Spoke to someone in India first,
I asked to cancel TV and they say will try and get better price for me.

    Currently its SKY Q
    Signature - £31.40
    Superfast BB- £39.50
    Total - £70.90

In April this will rise to
    Signature - £35.45
    Superfast BB- £43.00
    Total - £78.45

The lady on the phone offered
    Signature - £31.50
    Superfast BB- £38.00
    Total - £69.50

I declined this and asked to cancel. She said she can put me through to someone else and it might be a wait - it was about 7:45pm.

The next lady was from the UK.
    She offered
    Signature - £25.45 + £10 admin
    Superfast BB- £34.00 +£10 admin
    Total - £59.45 +£20 admin
This is for 18 month contract and avoid April price rise.

I asked to think about it -its £10 less than what I pay now and they could not get rid of the admin fee. The admin adds £1.11 per month.

I commented that a new customer can get the phone and BB and TV for £39 - they said this is stream and I have Sky Q.

I will call tomorrow and put a cancellation in for TV and see how it goes after this.

I just got off the phone with them.

1st man was in India offered
    £63.50 total

then with Sky Cinema offered £64.

I declined and was put through to a lady in Scotland
    She offered me
    Signature - £24
    BB - £30
    Total - £54
    No admin fee
With a price freeze for April.

I declined this and put cancellation in for TV.

It will cancel on 20th March.

Lets see what  offers I get from here.

I am only 5 months into my Sky Stream and Broadband contracts.

Looks like my bills will be increasing with the April price increase from £53 per month to £62 per month.  :'(

Sky Ultimate with Basic Netflix - £23 to £25
    Whole Home - £6 to £6.50
    Cinema - £8 to £11
    Broadband - £16 to £19.50

I went on Live Chat initially to see if they could do anything about the broadband (Sky Stream TV retentions is only available over the phone). They responded that they could offer me £34 per month for broadband! I explained I was only 5 months into my contract and was complaining about the broadband increasing from £16 to £19.50, so not sure why they offered £34! Anyway, nothing they could do.

I'll contact Sky nearer to the price increase time, but I expect I am going to be stuck with the TV increase as everything is in contract. Broadband I will be able to leave penalty-free, however even £19.50 is a decent price that I don't think I could beat elsewhere. Though going from £53 to £62 per month seems a steep increase.

im cut off from sky in under 48 hours now and have received no emails/texts/phone calls with offers for a new contract which is surprising as ive been a customer for over 20 years
24 years with Sky TV. Always managed to negotiate a decent package each year, till now.

I eventually managed to get a decent deal on broadband, but TV is going on 3rd March. Once it's gone I'll look at Sky Stream. They won't let me move from SkyQ or Stream at present without charging £35-40

What was your decent broadband deal?
Superfast broadband, which is what I have now, for £25.

It's been suggested that Sky are concentrating on new broadband customers at the moment, or they won't meet their targets from Openreach. Prices for new customers may get even cheaper.

The best deal I got was over the phone, speaking to someone in the UK team. I canceled and let the service cut off.

A few days later I gave them a call and spoke to a really nice lady who managed to get us:

    - Signature
    - Cinema
    - HD
    - Multiroom
    - A second multiroom box free of charge
    - No admin fee

    For £30 a month.

You have to be prepared for your service to disconnect. When you speak to them, make it very clear that you are not bothered whether you stay with them or not. Outline from the start that you are looking to pay less than what you currently pay, otherwise you'll just go to Virgin/Freesat/Freeview.

Of course they want to retain your business, they will just try and call your bluff and hope you cave earlier than they do!

I think it may also depend on what offers they have on at the time. I negotiated just after Christmas so think they had a few deals on too.

dont suppose you can provide a breakdown for each piece of the package that makes up the £30. I was cut off last night, phoned winback team just now and was offered the following for the parts of the deal you have, these are also the april onwards prices for me, are yours that aswell or iis it £30 then + 6.7% from april onwards? cheers

    signature - £21.50
    cinema - £7
    HD - £5
    Multiroom - £10

this is what I was just offered from the win back team

signature - £19 which will increase to £21.50 in april
sky sports - £12 which will increase to £13 in april
TNT sports -  £25 which will increase to £27 in april
    TNT HD - £0
sky cinema - £7 and no april increase
sky sports HD - £2 and no april increase
sky HD, £5 and no april increase
multiroom - £10 and no april increase
ultra HD - £2 and no april increase

no admin fee (was going to be £10 but she offered to remove it)
    £20 account credit for free

    I said id consider it

edit - 99% sure I made a mistake here and the deal didnt include sky sports HD (maybe this comes as standard now?), she said it would be £85.50 after april increase but the above adds up to £87.50
