ive said no currently as I don’t think it’s a good deal but wanted to get others opinions? What do you think this is worth0 -

Today is my last day with sky, they have made no effort at all to keep me as a customer and any efforts I made at haggling fell on stoney ground. Anytime I had second thoughts about keeping sky previously they have offered me good deals to stay. This time nothing of any worth.
Customer service seems to have gone downhill as well, probably better without it, certainly will be financially. Will be first time in 15 years I will be skyless 🙈🤣0 -
Does anyone at Sky read these forums?
id be interested to know the strategy. 3/4 years ago, if you put in a call to cancel, Sky would hassle you with phone calls, emails, letters etc to try and keep you. Now, for most, nothing.0 -
I put my notice in to cancel and was considering fully going through with it, I was going either free sat or get my aerial fixed. The last storm blow my wheelie bin over and it tore through the sky cable coming into the house, sky fixed for free as I was still in contract.
i accepted a new deal 3 days before my services were stopping.
SKY Q
Super fast broadband £25 a month and a £10 admin charge - discounted from £39
Sky signature
Basic Netflix
HD channels - free
Sky Kids - £2 - discounted from £6
Multi-room - they are sending a second multi-room box at no extra charge so I’ll have 2
All of the above including broadband for £56 a month and £20 admin fee (£10 BB, £10 TV)
18 month contract, I know prices will rise in April.
They also offered Sky cinema for 18 months at £7 or on a monthly subscription of £10 - I declined these.2 -
So 2 days after completely leaving sky and before boxing up equipment to send back, called the number given on email.
It put me through to the win back team.
without any hassle or nonsense was offered
sky signature £19
complete sky sports £14
multi room £10
HD £5
sky sports HD £2
£10 admin fee voided
£51 a month for 18 months
if they had offered me that during my notice period I would have accepted but only got offered way higher prices.
the HD thing is a complete nonsense as it should be offered as basic.
it seems these days sky want customers to jump through hoops to get the “offers”.

why do sky make you dance through hoops every 18 months (the sky dance). would love to cancel but the misses wont so have to sort out deal just ending contract just to make them think we will leave. Got them to match last years price of £66 for broadband, signature, multi room, netflix which know could get cheaper as above deals show but need to go down route of cancelling which no the boss wont do as needs to have her beloved TV.
but what does annoy me is that £20 admin charge which they say is for our benefit to offer the discounts to its loyal customers. do they think we really believe all that and all the rubbish that if they remove it the discounts disappear. hahahahahahaha
would have loved to remove the multi room and then sign back up a month later on the deals page of £7.50 but no the misses did not want to lose multi room for any time.
can't argue to much as she does pay the sky bill as it is her that watches it.
that's my sky rant over for another 18 months0 -

Mines coming up in May or June I think and I'm not looking forward to that.
I have never ever paid the "admin fee" (perhaps when I first joined 16 years ago?) as I flat out refuse and would rather upset the wife and cancel. It's price gouging pure and simple. As you say the HD payment annoys me enough as it is.0 -
i don’t know what they are up to at the moment. I have an automatic ‘discount’ of £5 a month attached to my account for when my contract is up (didn’t ask for it). Tried to re-negotiate on the phone and they couldn’t give me any other discounts.
I found a new customer offer for Stream (I’m currently on Q) and broadband for £40, which is about the amount I pay for Q and Broadband each. Called up to see if I could switch to Stream and get that, and told no because I’m not new. But there was no negotiation there, it feels like they have lost all feeling for helping out. Original plan was to ditch the tv and keep the broadband, so i might just have to.0
