Honestly guys, if you are not fussed about letting it cancel for a week or two, you will get much better discounts. Just go in with the mindset that you are ready to cancel and see what they can do. Worst case you reconnect for what they previously offered you.
As mentioned, before my service was cut off they were offering me Sig, Cinema, Multiroom and HD for £49/pm. Then it dropped to £45/pm. I let it cancel and got it for £30/pm with an extra box thrown in and no admin fee.2 -
But, but .... you'll lose all those wonderful offers you get for being a Sky VIP Kryptonite memberppjj29 said:Honestly guys, if you are not fussed about letting it cancel for a week or two, you will get much better discounts. Haha. Not sure if your sarcasm is aimed at the VIP offers or the fact that it doesn't reset - but mine has gone back to being "gold" when I was reconnected.MeteredOut said:

I currently pay £43 for signature and sports HD which is a £25 discount.
due to end in Feb they've emailed me an auto discount which takes it to £54 rather than £72 for 12 months no contract, first time i've seen anything like that without prompting?0 -
Has been a Sky "tactic" for a few years now. Usually comes in a letter/email headlined "great news,we are extending your discounts" except they haven't ! I ignored and "negotiated" as usual - got a deal the same as before (altho got stung with the usual April increases!)JohnFTB said:I currently pay £43 for signature and sports HD which is a £25 discount.

Unfortunately didnt get a call from winback, and internet is running our in 2 days. So had to call back.Tom_Hendo said:Called the main line, put through to Retentions. Useless, Couldn't offer me near the recent offers on here. And wouldnt let me speak to the winback team as "You need to have left us to speak to them". Cancelled and hoping for that callback everyone seems to get.
Offer:
Signature: £24
Sky Sports: £20
Sports HD: £6
Cinema: £9 (This one seemed ok)
I did get a better offer, saving me money overall but the balance is really weird. I think the balance is weird due to internet running out soon and my obvious need to keep it!
Signature - £18
Sky Sports - £8
Sky Sports HD - £2
Sky Cinema - £12
Internet - £34.50 (Most other offers on this were around £27.50-£29.50 until now, but after pestering hard there's nothing he can do on this one and asked if I just want to progress with TV deals)

If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.0 -
