What’s the breakdownmorgan798 said:Just called the winback team after my contract cancelled on Saturday. My previous deal was;
Signature - 19
Ultimate -6
Sports - 16
Sports HD - 2
HD - 5
Multiroom - 7
Total £55
Straight away offered the same for £49. Job done in 9 mins. I was also offered a free extra mini box but it wasn't needed.0 -
It really annoys me that Sky charge (up to £10 per month) extra for HD then another sum for Sport HD - How do they get away with this rip off ?
If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.0 -
If it helps anyone, I've just done the "dance" with sky (I had to start the cancellation process and call the Winback Team twice, the cancellation was stopped 2 weeks into the process).
My new 18 month Sky Q contract is
Signature - £19
Ultimate - £6
Kids - £3
Sports - £8
Cinema - £9
Sport HD - £0
HD - £5
UHD - £2
£52 per month.
I also got them to waive the £20 admin fee and (I'm not really sure how this happened, although I think the first person I spoke to in the Winback team did it by accident) they have applied a £140 credit to my account.
Previously I was paying
Signature - £19
Kids - £3
Sports - £7
Cinema - £12
Sport HD - £0
HD - £5
UHD - £4
So £50 per month without Ultimate0 -
How on earth did you get them to apply a £140 credit to the account - I've seen them apply a credit to waive the £10 or £20 fees, but £140 is a very strange amount, how did it come about?ScottHart said:If it helps anyone, I've just done the "dance" with sky (I had to start the cancellation process and call the Winback Team twice, the cancellation was stopped 2 weeks into the process).

So the first time I rang the Winback Team the guy I spoke to told me he needed to stop the cancellation in order to look at any offers. The offers he gave me weren't very good so i told him I wanted to continue with the cancellation. He disappeared for a few minutes and said he was having an issue re-instating the cancellation and his manager would have to do something. The following day my account was suddenly in credit by about £140 (and my November bill is very very long). I don't expect this type of mistake happens very often, but if it can happen to me it can happen to other people too.Brimble said:

Keep a very close eye on future bills - they c**ked my bill up a few years ago on the renewal negotiation - with all the plusses and minuses, I ended up with paying a fair bit more than agreed - standard Customer Services couldn't/wouldn't sort it out and I had to go to Executive Complaints to get recompense.ScottHart said:

Available to new subscribers at £19 per month for 18 months

Had to fight for this with retentions essentially but here is my breakdown:
- Sky Signature - £16 (only for 12 months - out of contract)
- Sky HD - £5 (only for 12 months - out of contract)
- Sky Broadband Superfast - £25 (18 months)
0 -
Called the main line, put through to Retentions. Useless, Couldn't offer me near the recent offers on here. And wouldnt let me speak to the winback team as "You need to have left us to speak to them". Cancelled and hoping for that callback everyone seems to get.
Offer:
Signature: £24
Sky Sports: £20
Sports HD: £6
Cinema: £9 (This one seemed ok)
