Hi Folks - I have been on the phone to retentions today :-

This is what I have been offered for Sky Q renewal

Sky Signature, broadband, (superfast) multi room and netflix = £65.50 plus a £20 admin fee (been able to haggle this off in the past but they are telling me their policy has changed and they dont do this anymore)

Am I in the right ballpark? - we were paying £59 for the above - I can get it for £58.50 without netflix as an option.

I did get through to Glasgow as my first call a couple of weeks was to India and they were not able to offer anything better than the £80 pm that things were going up to:-1:

We want to retain the dish as internet is not that great in our area and wouldnt want to rely on the internet connection for TV.

Thanks in anticipation of your help.
I would suggest you jump ship maybe try virgin

What offers are people getting at the moment - is £65 plus a £20 admin fee for Signature, Sports, Cinema, UHD, Ultimate TV and Multiroom in the right range, or should I be pushing harder?
  • Well that went well - I called today to see what the price would be as suggested there might be some better deals closer to black friday and was told £75 per month - Sky are so frustrating :( - but I like the interface

I'd not be expecting anything from their black friday deals. I've already seen them advertise their HD upgrade black friday deal for £7.50 on Facebook - multiple people pointed out that they were offering it at £5 a couple of weeks before.

It's just marketing to the ignorant now.

"We found that a massive 98% of products that were on sale on Black Friday 2021 were actually cheaper or the same as their Black Friday price at other times in the year."

Sounds similar to what we got offered really, we don't have sports, but we got offered £53 for the rest. £12 for sports probably sounds about right.

The internet deals they offered were awful for the 900Mb package, wouldn't even get close to the new customer price they show on the website so it ended up double the price of many other places. Consequently we're in progress of moving to another provider for internet/phone.

This was from retentions anyway. Judging by what everyone else is saying the best deals come from cancelling and getting notices begging you to come back. Not really a viable option for internet/phone since I work from home, and don't really want to lose the landline number.
  • I gave my notice last week. Logged in to the chat, was put through to the win back team. I have a Q box.  So without full cancellation I was offered:
    Sky signature + Sky sports complete package + HD = £41.50 + £20 admin
    Sky signature + Sky sports complete package + Sky cinema + HD + UHD = £49.50 + £10 admin

I thought they were quite good offers without having to completely disconnect. I took it.
