Go to Virgin, best decision I made.Catplan said:So called today as out of contract, bill now £100.50 a month.
First offer was £103 for sky glass over 48 months advised this wasn’t what I was looking for and was expecting to reduce not increase costs, big marketing blurb about benefits of sky glass. Not interested as Virgin currently doing offer for £62 a month for similar package.
Currently get Sky signature
sky sports complete pack
sky sports HD
sky go extra
Broadband And talk was pay £75.Told them I wanted to cancel as can get Virgin bigger sports combo which appears to offer the channels I require for £62 a month,
Passed to retentions who advised best deal I could get was £81 plus £10 admin fee so have given my 31 days notice today.
chances of a call back offering better ?I’d prefer to stay with Sky but more than happy to give Virgin a go as broadband is faster as well. I think this might be the end of my 23 years with Sky, I mean they are £19 a month more expensive and are also wanting £10 admin fee…..
Going to give it until 3rd when I intend to place my order with Virgin, probably means Sky offer me a deal on 4th…. Actually think it will be last week of contract, but I suspect it will be too late by then.1 -
Up until the point where you need customer service when you'll realise what a terrible error in judgment you've mademda99das said:

One of my friend's Virgin TV service has gone down and he can't speak to anyone on the phone (goes round in circles with the menus and can't actually talk to anyone). He's going to write them a letter!JSmithy45AD said:

Our Sky Q services cancelled on Wednesday (as in, we are now cut-off). Tried chat today and the best I got was the below:
Sky Signature standard cost is £34 but you'll pay just £19 a month (18 months contract) with £10 admin fee
Sky sports complete pack in hd standard cost is £38 but you'll pay £11 a month(for 18 month contract, dependency offer on having cinema pack)
Sky cinema standard cost £19 but you'll get it for £12 ( dependency offer on having sports pack)
HD is normally £9 but you'll get it for £5
UHD is £4 but you'll pay £2
Multiscreen usually £15 but you'll pay at £12 (for 18 months contract)
Netflix Premium [4 screens] £15
Total £76 a month
I tried referencing some of the deals others have got previously then asked for account numbers to check! Cheeky.
Are we best ringing up or is there something I'm doing wrong? Or is the above actually a decent deal now? I was as polite and courteous but they just don't want to budge, even after I said I'd take the above for £60, they didn't even come back with a reduced offer.
Might have to actually send the boxes back now.0 -
Due to my job (not Virgin or any of the big ones) I've spoken to hundreds (possibly thousands) of Virgin customers and quite a few of the agents and they've ensured I would never take up VM for any service. Absolutely atrocious.miller said:

Virgin is great when it all works and mine has been relatively trouble free, when you get issues though it is a nightmare trying to resolve anything.1

Does anybody actually pay full price for any sky service ?
If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.0 -
Did you get any calls or TXT messages to call them on any numbers? I've heard chat is rubbish.2003bluecat said:Our Sky Q services cancelled on Wednesday (as in, we are now cut-off). Tried chat today and the best I got was the below:

I called them back after my services STOPPED in response to a TXT I received.1 -
Nothing as of yet. How long after your services had stopped did you get the TXT from them?ImranQ said:
