  • I was sent a message on Sunday with the number 0333 7594451 and my Sky was stopped today. When I called they said they were the winback team, so hopefully that's the number you need to call.

    Did they win you back?

I've just spoken to the win-back team (closed my account 2 days ago - had been with them for 17 years but the price increases were crazy). They have now offered me a package for £60 a month: Superfast Broadband, Sky Signature, Sky Sports, Netflix and HD. No idea if that's good or not. Am tempted. Wondered what others are being offered?

So just to be 100% clear, when you say 'closed my account 2 days ago', you mean you gave notice of cancellation 32 days ago, and your Sky services were actually cut off yesterday, is that right?

Seems like a good deal - Well done!
What were you paying & what was your original renewal amount?

Ok, so they ARE doing deals. But in my case, not until my services switched off.

    I’ve agreed to…
    Sky Signature - £14
Ultimate TV Add On - £6
    Sky HD - £5
    Ultra HD -£2

    Total: £27.

I’m happy with this. What do you think? A good deal?

(I do find it strange that in 2023 Sky are still charging for HD)

How did that deal come about, if you don't mind me asking? Did they call you or did you call them? What number did you use? Our services were cut off nearly 3 weeks ago now, but we've not received any calls, emails or post asking us to come back, which seems unusual (I'm sure we got comms when we left a couple of years ago then came back).

Your deal looks pretty good compared to most in the last 50 or so pages, however like you I find it irritating that basic HD is £5. I wonder if you said you didn't want HD (and therefore UHD) they would have said you can't have Signature for £14...

Did you sky VIP status go back to 0, or did it carry on where it left off after you signed up again?

They didn’t call me. I called this number 0333 7594451 which was on a leaflet I received with the boxes to send back my Sky equipment. It’s gets you straight through to the WinBack Team.

You have to play the game with them. The first offer on that number was £43… Then that went down to £37… Then £30… Then £27. The agent kept putting me on hold to ‘check with my manager’. Every price she gave me was ‘the lowest I can go’… but then it magically went lower when I declined. There was also a £10 fee which she said was mandatory, but when I declined she was able to credit that money back if I accepted the deal.

If you do want to sign back up, call that number. But be prepared to say no to the first few offers and stand your ground.

Let us know how you get on. Good luck!!

It didn’t go back to zero… it carried on from where I left off.
