Having had my services cut off 3 weeks ago, and got nowhere with Win Back Team (worse offers than Retentions!), today I had an offer through the post for Sky Q Signature & Netflix for £23pm. Two questions on this, if anyone knows:

     - Can I take the deal, then just cancel the Netflix bit the next day (with 31 days' notice)? In the small print it says "Cancel... Ultimate TV add-on at any time on 31 days' notice" - but would that then change my Signature price?

     - Is it likely I'll be able to add on HD afterwards at a discounted price? It's £9 extra at normal price (!) - there is no mention of any discount to include it in the original package, but I wonder if anyone has ever taken Q then added HD at a discounted price later?
When you get authorised by Sky for Netflix, you login to the Netflix app using your Sky Q box (Home->Apps->Netflix) and authenticate using your normal Netflix login. Your Netflix will transfer over immediately. You can continue using Netflix however using a browser, Sky or any other method you choose as per your Netflix account device limitation. I'm not 100% sure about the payment that Netflix has already taken and whether you get any pro-rata back at the time of transfer as the Netflix payment is taken in advance.

Sorry, maybe I didn't explain well - I don't have a Netflix account and we don't need one. So I'm wondering if I can accept Sky's above offer for £23pm, then the next day cancel the Netflix part, thereby hopefully reducing my bill to something like £17 (depending on the split of the £23pm between Signature and Netflix ("Ultimate TV Add On")), (then also add HD at a discounted price, though that's a separate matter / question).

No. Pretty sure that won't be possible. Once you accept Sky's package for their price, Netflix is part of that package and you can only cancel the Sky package within the cooling period but not change anything. i.e. All or nothing. Basically your Netflix is coming through Sky now. If you plan on making changes to your package, you need to do it before you sign up. Any changes you make will likely be more costly afterwards.

Seems like your trying to swindle sky, a contract is a contract you can’t remove Netflix afterwards, they will just remove all your discounts

Haha I'm not trying to 'swindle' anyone, well no more than anyone else on this thread - I'm just trying to get the best deal I can within the T&Cs of the proposed contract - which as above, seems a little misleading in its current guise... But yes I expect you're probably right, they've probably just worded the T&Cs poorly. :)

Cancellation for tomorrow. Sky contacted me again today with and offer of £49 for sky signature/sports/HD & UHD/Netflix uhd. This is 60p cheaper than what I was paying in contract. But I’m feeling they’ll be something better after disconnection/Black Friday?

Also offered the ultrafast plus for £36 (currently BT 500 for £50 after in contract rises)

    Anyone have any thoughts?

I think there’s a chance maybe you’ll get a better deal after cancellation. I wouldn’t expect too much from Black Friday as I’m sure the whole thing is just a “marketing ploy”.

I think - if it were me - I’d want to be paying closer to £40 for your package.

Thanks I’ll try again later and see what they offer. Happy to walk away and can always sign up as a new customer with a different house member. Or switch to VM
