I gave my cancellation notice on Sunday. Long story short but the offer was terrible. I then highlighted an offer for new customers which included Ultrafast Broadband. They said that they would have matched it but because I can only get Superfast they couldn't. When I suggested they simply match the price as i was ok having a slower broadband they refused. So, basically they want to charge me more than they charge someone who gets a better service.
I've not been contacted by win-back yet, does anyone have any idea when they might contact me?0 -
Just phoned the 03337 594 840 number as my package ends on the 16th - am a Sky VIP Platinum member (for what it's worth!), been with them over 12 years.Current package is:Sky Signature £19 (£15 discount)HD £5 (£4 discount)BB Superfast £28.50 (£11 discount)Total £52.50 (up from £42 back in May last year)Via email they had offered me same package for £56.50 (Sig £21, HD £6, BB Superfast £29.50).Rang them to see if they could do any better and was offered £50.50 total (Sig £21, HD £4, BB Superfast £25.50).It doesn't seem like a terrible offer but not good enough value for me any more, so I said I'd rather cancel and they made absolutely no effort to better that offer, so have given my notice. Will probably go to Zzoomm fibre package and Now TV and/or Freesat - just need to try and find a good Fressat recording box.0

Since cancelling, I've had one text message, three emails and one phone call from Sky. I'll hold out to at least match this offer, even if I have to wait until Sky gets cut off.
If I don't get that offer, I'll happily leave.1 -

They were keen to give me sky q for no extra charges. Should I agree? Will i still be able to play the win back game when my contract expires in 18 months?1 -

Yes - you can renegotiate after 18 months - I know from experience

The win back team called me tonight. They have accepted that I am not staying with them for broadband as they cannot get close to the deals I have found but I said I was willing to talk about TV.
I'm keen on Sky Glass, mainly because my TV sucks and I like the idea of being able to move the TV where I want without having to worry about cables and the Sky box. Win back gave me an offer that wasn't any cheaper than I had already and more than I found online. They said they needed to pass me to Sky Glass to see other offers. Sky Glass told me they cannot see other offers because the account is pending cancellation. They passed me back to win back.
The guy on win back was nice but the best he could offer on TV was Sky Signature, Netflix and HD for £31 a month (seems expensive) and he could not see Sky Glass offers. I had to put the kids to bed so he is calling back tomorrow after he tries to fix it. So, I highlighted some new customer offers I have seen online and said I would seriously consider if the matched them and if they couldn't then asked if he could sweeten it with a freebie.
I'll let you know how I get on. This is fun.1 -

This was my worry. So they'll have much more leverage if I want to cancel to get a better deal in 18 months0 -

Yes they do own the SkyQ box but it certainly doesn’t stop you renegotiating a deal when your contract expires.
If the worse comes to the worse - they will send you a label to return the equipment if you decide to leave.0
