Is this Win Back phoning you or you contacting them by Live Chat?
The offer they gave me from Win Back was miles better than the rubbish offer Live Chat made.

My experience is that Live Chat / Retentions are a waste of time - only Win Back offer you the best deal.

I have Sky Q with Signature, Sports and HD Pack.
    No Broadband.
My Bills are now £56 per month, as 18 months term just finished, was paying £37 per month earlier in the year.
Was trying to check the sky website to see what the new customer going rate is these days for skyQ and sports + HD and it doesn't seem to be an option. Has Sky Stream fully replaced SkyQ now ?
Can you not have a dish anymore as a new customer?
So done the usual and phoned up sky to cancel contract, hoping for a better deal.
But nothing, they didn't even try to talk me round. Even being VIP Gold member who's been with them for ten years.
Just cancelled without a quibble!   Not even the option of going through to retentions, wow how sky have changed.
So will just have to wait and see now if i get any offers via email/post before the 30 days termination comes along.
or it's bye bye sky and try something else cheaper!

That's what I have - was paying £38 pm pre April ,now £43 pm - certainly wouldn't pay much more than that ,particularly as the Sports offerings are so spread around now

Just got a call from Sky offering me a deal to stay after cancelling, see my post.
The best they could do now was £33 per month (18 month contract)  for the same pack i had before: that's signature, skyQ, sky sports and HD.   with no admin fee and one month free sky rental.
    What do you guys think?
I'd bite their hand off - are you sure that they will honour £33pm for that package ? Haven't seen anyone else getting that good a deal lately.

This offer was via telephone number from email they sent me ,not sure if this is win back or retentions? I have now left sky tv with only 2 weeks left for my BB . I have never received a phone call from sky regarding my cancellations.
  • Hi everyone, has anyone had any recent success? I am going to give my notice tomorrow,  thanks

If it was me - WHATEVER they offer - I would reject (you will get a better offer elsewhere).

They will try and “string it out” a bit - just tell them you’re too busy - Life’s too short!
  • Have been paying.  Some deals have expired, gone from £66 to £85 per month.

    Signature £24 - was £18 in April
Ultimate (Netflix) £6 - was £5 in April
BT Sport £25.20 going to £28
    Sky Sport £25 + £2 HD - was £16 + £2 in April.

Now out of contract and cancelled.  Got an email offering Signature and Sky Sports for £39 - no mention of HD.  Also had a phone call.  Playing hard ball here.

Two days before cut off I got a text saying to phone a Sky number.

Phoned today and they offered me

    Signature £19
    Netflix 6
    BT Sport HD £25
    Sky Sport HD £17

Total £67.  18 month contract.  Price review next April.

    Accepted.

A bit of a roller coaster but glad its all over.

On cut off day, I received in the post, packaging from Sky for the return of the Sky+ box.

This is approximately 4 years old.  I wonder what they do with them all?

Hold on... I thought Sky+ boxes were owned by the customer from day one, whilst Sky Q was effectively loaned from Sky - is that not the case? :/

I've just received another offer through the post from Sky.

    They are offering Sky Q:
    Signature £19
    Ultimate TV Add On £6

I went on the chat link on the leaflet to ask if it included HD, but it didn't so they wanted another £5 a month for that. Plus £10 admin fee.

Plus £28 for broadband, with another £10 admin fee.

I had another offer through the post recently for Sky Stream:
£20 - Entertainment and Netflix, including HD.

I believe new Stream customers can also get Superfast Broadband for £13 a month.
  • I gave my notice today. They said my broadband will be cut off on 31/8 and the TV on 14/9.

    Wish me luck.
