they not cheap but well worth it!
currys and John Lewis provide interest free options on all boxes2 -
I have a Sky Q box and dish and Sky Broadband Essential Plus including Anytime calls - no paid Sky TV channels just the free ones. I have been on an 18 month contract, with guaranteed no price increases, which ends in about 3 months.
Does anyone have any idea what Sky are likely to offer, please? I’ve tried looking on Sky’s website but can’t see anything relevant…
I would like to keep Sky broadband, but if I don’t renew anything else and have to return the Sky Q box, is it as simple as just buying a replacement box (for watching and recording the tv channels) and plugging it in?

I would like to keep Sky broadband, but if I don’t renew anything else and have to return the Sky Q box, is it as simple as just buying a replacement box (for watching and recording the tv channels) and plugging it in?Have you tried checking your upcoming bills on the MySky app?I am on a similar 18 month fixed deal for Sky Signature, no contract I could cancel at any time as I rang to see if they would improve when it was offered, been paying £19 a month, same price as my previous 18 month deal.On checking the app mine was due to increase to £32 a month in October so I have been planning to leave if they are not likely to give me a similar offer and trying to watch all my stuff on my box. Then at the weekend I checked again and it had dropped to £22 a month, £10 less, no notification or letter from them yet.No offers on the Sky website, everything is trying to get me to add extras at more cost!!Now I am undecided whether to stay or go as that £10 a month is a big difference. They have also sent me a text offering my a Q box for no extra charge asking me to call, but not done so yet.

I’ve literally just phoned up to cancel my contract as we’re going from £42 to £88!!! Sky made absolutely no effort to dissuade or negotiate.0

Signature £24 - was £18 in April
Ultimate (Netflix) £6 - was £5 in April
BT Sport £25.20 going to £28
Sky Sport £25 + £2 HD - was £16 + £2 in April.
Now out of contract and cancelled. Got an email offering Signature and Sky Sports for £39 - no mention of HD. Also had a phone call. Playing hard ball here.
Phoned today and they offered me
Signature £19
Netflix 6
BT Sport HD £25
Sky Sport HD £17
Total £67. 18 month contract. Price review next April.
Accepted.
A bit of a roller coaster but glad its all over.

No Broadband.
My Bills are now £56 per month, as 18 months term just finished, was paying £37 per month earlier in the year.
Was trying to check the sky website to see what the new customer going rate is these days for skyQ and sports + HD and it doesn't seem to be an option. Has Sky Stream fully replaced SkyQ now ?
Can you not have a dish anymore as a new customer?
So done the usual and phoned up sky to cancel contract, hoping for a better deal.
But nothing, they didn't even try to talk me round. Even being VIP Gold member who's been with them for ten years.
Just cancelled without a quibble! Not even the option of going through to retentions, wow how sky have changed.
So will just have to wait and see now if i get any offers via email/post before the 30 days termination comes along.
or it's bye bye sky and try something else cheaper!
Just got a call from Sky offering me a deal to stay after cancelling, see my post.
The best they could do now was £33 per month (18 month contract) for the same pack i had before: that's signature, skyQ, sky sports and HD. with no admin fee and one month free sky rental.
What do you guys think?1 -

My experience suggests cancelling and waiting for them to contact you to give you a decent offer.0
