My 18 month contract is almost up…. I think it’s going to be tricky to get this deal again…

    £32.50 a month in total.

    What prices have the quoted?

£103 for the same pkg. Then haggling got that down to £56 with £30 fee but minus Sky Cinema. I’ve not agreed anything yet.
    What’s individual breakdown

Hi all. My initial 18-month TV/Broadband deal will expire soon but I received a 'times are tough' email from Sky three weeks ago saying "the good news is, we’ve extended your offers for another 12 months".

So naturally, I'm expecting it to remain £51. And yet MySky and a subsequent phone call says it's still going beyond £70?

That's an absolute no-go for me.

Yes - they "hope" that customers won't notice that the deal is reduced - but at a much lower % discount than before. Tried it with me 6 months ago but I still put in the cancellation call - ended up with the same deal as previous but with a Sky Q box instead of my failing HD box !

So my fourth time calling.....they really weren't budging and if i'm honest the first offer was the best!
Wasn't happy at all as bill had jumped from 77.50 to 98.11 end of april.

signature full price@ 34 was 26 new offer of 24
sky ultimate full price @ 7 now 7
sky cinema full price @ 19 was reduced to 10- cancelled it
ultra hd full price @ 4- cancelled it
    hd full price @ 9 was 9 now 5
multiroom full price @ 15 -cancelled it
broadband superfast full price @ 39.50 was 27.50 now 19

    24+7+5+19 = new cost of 55pm (should be 89.50 )18month contract
(no admin fees as 20 credited back to account without me even asking )

Couldn't be bothered cancelling as people online don't seem to be getting anywhere with better deals at the moment. I'm happy enough with this price and will keep an eye out for multiroom offers in the winter when the nights draw in.

So I've been without Sky for two months after not being able to get a reasonable deal. Haven't really missed it but had a couple of half hearted texts asking me to send the equipment back. Thought I would send it back this coming weekend and decided to call in to see if there were any deals. My broadband is out of contract too but I'm paying £29 a month as they have applied a £10 discount without having to contract in. Ended up being offered the following

    Signature £21 (34)
    Ultimate £6 (7)
    Sports £6 (32)
    Cinema £10 (12)
    Sport HD £2 (6)
    Sky HD £5 (9)
    Mutliscreen £10 (15)
    Ultra HD £1 (4)

Total of £61 per month + £10 admin fee. It was originally £63 + £10 admin and when I asked for the admin fee to be credited back to my account he offered a £2 monthly reduction instead (despite saying £63 was the best he could do) which works out better. I probably could have pushed harder. I asked if my broadband could be reduced at the same time and for me to contract back in on that too - was told that would have to be a separate discussion to TV package but he said he would think that with my tenure I would be offered a further discount. I was suspicious of this separation but signed up for the TV package. The agent put me through to the broadband team and I was told that they couldn't better the £29 - felt cheated somewhat and now looking at other providers for BB. I am actually a bit nervous about moving provider as I work from home a lot and I'm quite happy with the Sky service but can get a Vodaphone deal for an effective £20 a month so might make the jump.

Happy and peeved at the same time.

Used your 'success' as a guide as it seems about the best around.

We were paying £51 for the same package and it was going up to £118 from the contract end date 24 July.  One fairly long call and we ended up with Signature £13, Ultimate £7, HD £5, Multiscreen £15, UHD £2 (which also allows 4 devices at once on Netflix) = £42 - about the same as above in total but very different mix of amounts for each item.

Dropped Sports & Cinema as they would have added well over £20 - not as good as the deal above.

No admin fee! (There was the option to pay £10 and £1/mth more, which was strange!  I declined.)

Has anyone had any retention deals to take up sky stream from Sky Q when you have cancelled ?

Sky defintely don't seem too intent on keeping customers. Had £86 TV and £40 Superfast broadband, could only reduce to £110 - was £71 ish about 12 months ago. Annoying waste of my time to then cancel it

Recently cancelled again during my annual routine, the Sky website seems to have changed....where on the website can I see any "Come back to Sky offers"? TIA.

Just over a month to go before my contract is up and I do the cancellation dance with them again... and today I get an email saying they are extending my current offers for another year.

Well pardon my cynicism, but that just cements in my mind that I'm already paying too much (£89/month for TV only but basically everything they have) - I've attached a breakdown, would appreciate any suggestions of where there is 'fat' to target when I call them... specifically looking at BT Sport at £25! Signature also looks chunky but possibly because it has Netflix included?

If I could get this below £75 overall then I'd see it as a decent win...

    Thanks
    Arty

Just cancelled. As others have found, the letter they sent me promising to maintain my current discounts was a total lie - bills going up from £89 to £121 a month. Not overly optimistic I'm going to get a call back based on how they are currently behaving, wonder if they now see Q as a bit of a legacy product.

I won't shed any tears if I shift back to Virgin...
