They really do not seem to be budging at the moment my offer of two weeks ago for 68pm jumped to 88.50pm, i may just have to cancel the tv services as they are not rewarding existing customers at all are they! Very disappointed indeed having been a customer for 15 years

To get any half decent deal you MUST CANCEL! Once your tv goes off for a few days contact the Winback team

also the longer your with sky the less discounts you get as they know your a custom to the tv

i always change every 18 months to sky and virgin so I’m always on the cheap introductory price, currently I’m with sky and pay £40 for all the channels including 3 multi room boxes this was negotiated 3 weeks back

Why jump through massive hoops though? Much easier to just do without than waste time waiting for a "winback" team, makes me wonder why they need a team like that, oh yes they're overpricing so why not just give those prices in the first place?

Because some people are happy handing over £50-100 a month for everything.  They don’t care so Sky will happily take their money.  They aren’t going to make it easy to get cheap deals, because they don’t want many people on cheap deals.

I struggle to believe you get all the TV channels for £40.

I was paying £121 for ultrafast broadband and all the TV apart from kids channels. I cancelled as it was going up and let my contract end then contacted them and they offered me the same package for £109. The breakdown is:

    Ultrafast Broadband - £29 (£40)
    Signature - £13 (£30)
    Ultimate TV - £6 (£7)
    Sky Sports Complete - £6 (£32)
    BT Sport - £25 (£28)
    Sky Cinema £12 (£12)
    Sky Sports HD - £2 (£6)
    Sky HD - £5 (£9)
    Multiscreen - £10 (£15)
    Ultra HD - £1 (£4)

Prices in brackets are the non discounted prices.

I’m pretty happy with it, I’ve had sky for 6 years and it’s the best out there, Virgin is awful by comparison.

Sent all my equipment back yesterday…hadn’t received any contact from Sky and I sure as hell wasn’t chasing them as I am more than happy to go without. We have free or cheap trials/subs with Apple, Prime, and Netflix which frankly provide much better content than anything Sky Sig ever did imo. Old Sky HD and Humax boxes hooked up again gives us all the live TV we need and a basic firestick gives us Iplayer and Itvx. A mate’s Sky id let’s me watch the odd bit of sport via Sky Go. £40 a month net saving off the best “deal” they were offering isn’t bad either..
  • So I've been without Sky for two months after not being able to get a reasonable deal. Haven't really missed it but had a couple of half hearted texts asking me to send the equipment back. Thought I would send it back this coming weekend and decided to call in to see if there were any deals. My broadband is out of contract too but I'm paying £29 a month as they have applied a £10 discount without having to contract in. Ended up being offered the following

    Signature £21 (34)
    Ultimate £6 (7)
    Sports £6 (32)
    Cinema £10 (12)
    Sport HD £2 (6)
    Sky HD £5 (9)
    Mutliscreen £10 (15)
    Ultra HD £1 (4)

Total of £61 per month + £10 admin fee. It was originally £63 + £10 admin and when I asked for the admin fee to be credited back to my account he offered a £2 monthly reduction instead (despite saying £63 was the best he could do) which works out better. I probably could have pushed harder. I asked if my broadband could be reduced at the same time and for me to contract back in on that too - was told that would have to be a separate discussion to TV package but he said he would think that with my tenure I would be offered a further discount. I was suspicious of this separation but signed up for the TV package. The agent put me through to the broadband team and I was told that they couldn't better the £29 - felt cheated somewhat and now looking at other providers for BB. I am actually a bit nervous about moving provider as I work from home a lot and I'm quite happy with the Sky service but can get a Vodaphone deal for an effective £20 a month so might make the jump.

Happy and peeved at the same time.

I left Sky after years and they kept calling and offered me this.

It doesn't sound the best, or is it?

    Ultra fast fibre broadband

SKY stream box - HD 4k all freeview and entertainment sky channels.

    Netflix standard

    £51.00 a Month for 18 months.

They are calling back later, so maybe I can push it down.

My 18 month contract is almost up…. I think it’s going to be tricky to get this deal again…

    £32.50 a month in total.

£103 for the same pkg. Then haggling got that down to £56 with £30 fee but minus Sky Cinema. I’ve not agreed anything yet.
