Well was horrified to see how my sky +BB had jumped from  £71.50pm then increased to £98.50pm. Went on webchat and initially was offered
    sky signature for 24pm,
    netflix for 7pm,
    hd 5pm,
    multiscreeen 15pm
    BB for 19pm.

So down to  £70pm 18month contract on TV and BB but with  £40 admin fee!!!
scandalous. When i queried this they said this was due to the great offer they had provided me on their inflated full price of  £104.50 for the same package.
Asked could the admin fee be waived or credited- they then came back with a measly further  £2 off the package so   £68pm and  £30 admin fee.

I find it hard to believe after being a loyal customer for over 15 years this is the best they can do! great you offer me a third off your 'SKY HIGH' prices!!!!

then i quoted all the offers that new customers can get a flipping sky glass tv with signature and netflix for  £26pm half price multiscreen, half price BB and netflix only  £6pm. The agent just said I'm with retentions you need to call the sky glass team- I'm like i don't want/need a TV just saying its shocking the offers you throw at customers to hook them in and steal their hard earned cash each month.

Think I'll cancel and see what they offer as i've done this in previous years, really shouldn't have to though. SKY you should look after your loyal customers and listen when we say with the cost of living...get your prices in line....I hadn't budgeted a third more  £ £ £ for my TV viewing!!!
"Asked could the admin fee be waived or credited...", that's one mistake you made. You should always state that you will not pay an 'Admin Fee' regardless of the offer. It's price gouging and only reduces your 'offer' anyway.

Don't get snarky or aggressive with them as you'll get nothing. Keep it polite and just state your position.

Those prices they quoted aren't good obviously, what BB do you pay for?
thanks Jsmithy45AD, didn't consider to just say ' i'm not paying an admin fee regardless of offer'- on hold currently on the phone to them to see if their customer offers are better! lets see if they can improve on my offer or it will be cancel from me!

Recently recontracted with them. Lots of back and forths and rejected offers, but this was the best I was able to get 10 days or so before being switched off.

    - Sky Signaure (£18)
    - Netflix UHD - (£6)
    - Sky Sports (£11)
    - Cinema (£12)
    - Sports HD (£2)
    - Sky HD (£6)
    - UHD (£3)
    Total £58pm

Might have got it cheaper if I had kept trying, but this was the best I has been offered by about £15pm over the course of 2 phone calls and multiple web chats.
I've just given notice on my TV contract after over 20 years! I've not given notice on my phone & broadband yet, but may do soon.
During the notice period, did Sky call you or did you have to call them? I'm wondering if I will get a call if I have only cancelled my TV package.
I called them after they sent me a text to give them a ring. One retention guy said that the offers on your account change every Friday, so it's worth trying each week until you get something that you're broadly happy with.
That's good to know, thank you.
I have a feeling they won't contact me as I have only cancelled the TV contract so far and not the Broadband contract, so I may have to start calling them to see what they can offer.

My bill went up from £60 to £111 a month.

    Currently have Sky Signature
    Kids
    Extra box
    Netflix
    Superfast Fibre

Called to cancel and was offered £98. Declined this then offered £92. Also declined.

Had a text asking to stay so went on live chat. Offered £90. Declined but it was hard work as they kept pushing for me to take the offer.

Cut off is 9th June. I can't see them offering a reasonable offer to stay.

I have gotten an offer from Virgin for Bigger TV, 256mb BB,  and extra box for £49 a month. I'll probably be switching.

I had TV and BB and just cancelled my TV…didn’t get any calls like I used to do in my notice period so I let it run out. They sent me the boxes to return the equipment but I’ve had no other contact at all from them. I might call and say I’m cancelling BB too and see if there’s a better deal on offer. Frankly, I’ve not missed it at all. We dug out our old freesat box which works fine for one tv and I’ve a fire stick for the other main tv which gives us iplayer, itvx, apple, Netflix, prime anyway. A mate has given me his Sky password so I can watch the sport on Sky Go from my laptop. It was more convenient having everything on the sky Q box but was it £50 a month more convenient? I’m doubting it…

    So i was hoping someone could help and where i go from here. Im currently paying;

    Sky sports HD - £2
    Ultra HD - £2
Sky sports complete pack - £30
    Cinema - £12
    Kids - £6
    Sky HD - £8
    Signature - £21.75
    Multiscreen - £15
Ultimate TV add on - £6
    BB - £40.50

    Total - £143.50

I'm out of contract but sky are only willing to bring it all down to about £120. My husband doesn't want to give anything up but isn't keen on playing chicken and cancelling.

Do you think I can do any better than this and if so do you have any hints and tips on how to do it ? Retentions haven't been very willing with me

    Thank you in advance !

Check what Virgin would charge you for as similar a package as possible and present that to them, if you get no success then go to Virgin.

I was in a similar position and rejected two very small offers from them. A few days ago I put in a cancellation for the TV package which has a 31 days notice period.  I had a missed call from them last night, so they may be willing to make another offer. There is plenty of time to talk to them again before the services end.

I didn't cancel the BB/phone package as I was told this was more difficult to reverse should I change my mind. Not sure if that is true or not. So, fingers crossed I can do a deal with them as not keen to lose the services either.

If you haven't put in your cancellation notice (you can do this for TV services only to start with) then do, this will get you better offers and it takes 31 days before you're switched off. Make sure your contact preferences in your online account are set to on as well. Don't take the first offer, unless you're very very happy with it, it's unlikely to be any good anyway. Although most people's offers aren't great what they're charging you currently is exceptionally high, I'd look to move it elsewhere if they don't come back with anything decent. Also don't agree to an admin fee, if they claim they can't remove it then ask for this to be credited to your account. Now TV is always an option for Sport, Cinema only as and when you need it and you won't be tied in.

I got one call during my notice period from a customer loyalty exec basically just asking me why I’d cancelled and if they could do anything to change my mind. I said they could lower the price significantly but she said the offer I’d had via email which was a few quid off was the best they could do. I said just to let it run out in that case. Normally I’d get a guy from retentions making a 50% off offer for another 18 months it not this time. I suspect your missed call may be similar but good luck if it isn’t. Their whole approach to me, a 20 year customer with decent billing, was poor so unless they beg I’m probably not going back, not until they’re in trouble and really want new customers again.
