I'm currently paying the following and am out of contract, so am on a rolling contract.

    Sky Essentials - £31.40
    Superfast BB - £39.50
    --------------------------------
    Total              £ 70.90

    Sky Mobile 2GB - £7 x 2 Sims.

I am looking to reduce TV & BB first before looking at the Mobiles.

I called them today and spoke to someone overseas who got this down to:

    Sky Essentials - £29.00
    Superfast BB - £34.50
    ---------------------------------
    Total                £ 63.50

I rejected this and after a 9 min hold on the phone was put through to someone in the UK who got me down to:

    Sky Essentials - £23.00
    Superfast BB - £25.50
    -------------------------------------
    Total                £48.50
    PLUS £20 admin.

She insisted the admin fee cannot be waived or credited to the bill, saying its a blanket policy since the last 4 months.

I am holding out on a better deal.

Currently TV is used by parents mainly. Dad watched Gold and normal channels [1-5]  and mom watches Asian channels. No Netflix as we have Disney+ and kids just watch youtube.

Does anyone think this is likely to come down a bit?

Sky signature £11 Asian channels and gold included or sky essentials Asian channels and gold not included £5

sky broadband superfast £21.50 but Vodafone do superfast for £22

this is what you should be aiming for
Would I have to put in a cancellation request to get these prices?

Not true about the Admin fee, they can add a credit to cancel it out, I've had it myself about a month back.

Never put in a cancellation for the broadband, always go through the new provider to arrange a 'takeover'.

I would add, after talking to your current supplier.

So I pay £68 a month now for Sky Q, Sky HD, Multiroom, Sky Signature, Sky Broadband Superfast (upto 61mpbs). No Netflix, no Sports, no movies, no kids, no mobile, no landline phone package, no UHD. Both expire 08/11/2023.

I stupidly forgot to terminate broadband when i was advised of the price increase. Thought i'd see if i could still. I was too late.

Though they offered me for broadband a reduction of £30.50pm from £31.50pm which i'm currently paying PLUS I have to pay a one off admin fee of £20 and 18 month contract. I have 5 months left on my contract. They were surprised i didn't want o pay MORE for their great new deal.

Definitely going to leave Sky in November which the wife and kids will hate as they like multiroom and record function etc. Will have to investigate alternatives for freeview watching though signal is very poor. .

After speaking with the winback team, I've renewed by Sky TV package, however my broadband is now out of contract. I haven't given notice yet, but if I want to discuss a better deal do I have to speak to retentions first or as I'm out of contract, can I speak directly to the winback team?

Your better of renewing both tv and broadband at the same time otherwise any discounts won’t be forthcoming

vodafone charge £22 for broadband so you might be off with them

You don't give notice for broadband from the likes of Sky unless moving to Virgin or possibly the likes of City fibre if available. You can talk to any team, if nothing doing then find an alternative that suits and they'll handle the switch over. If it's NowTV you won't be able to take your landline telephone number and vice versa.

I don't think any further discounts are available if you have both TV and broadband, it's a nonsense that companies like to spout in order to tie you in.

Do not listen to anyone advising Vodafone because "they're cheap". They're cheap for a reason, customer service is appalling and pretty much none existent and their ability to even get you up and running is atrocious.

    Avoid at all costs.

They really do not seem to be budging at the moment my offer of two weeks ago for 68pm jumped to 88.50pm, i may just have to cancel the tv services as they are not rewarding existing customers at all are they! Very disappointed indeed having been a customer for 15 years
