Your only protected for the first 60 days - surprised they told you there would be no increasesDaywon said:Sky increased price only 3 months into contract even after assurance that no increase would be implemented during 18 month contract. Don't believe their sales pitch!0 -
I had all of the Sky channels; Signature, Ultimate, Kids, Sports, Cinema, HD, UHD & Multiscreen. I was paying £75pm before the increase, but before I got them down to £56.83. Not cheap enough for me.
Been without Sky for nearly 3 weeks and waiting for them to contact me with an offer I can't refuse...
Still waiting... however, I have gone rogue and not missing it.
Boxes are packed up ready to go, got until April to send them back...0 -
That is a problem for Sky once you’ve been without Sky for a while you find you don’t really miss it.0

I never used to "negotiate" until ~ 2015 after being harangued by my son in law for whom the regular dance with Sky/TalkTalk etc was a game he enjoyed! Now it's every 18 months!butise said:
It is a little frustrating that peoples time is taken up with all these “negotiations”, Sky must see a benefit from them otherwise they wouldn’t employ people to carry the negotiations, these people obviously add to Skys overheads.Rammie65 said:
I had to wait until about a week before cancellation kicked in to get a good offer but it came eventually. I have Signature, broadband, sports, hd for £50.50 (soon to be £58.50) which i think is a reasonable deal. Ive been with sky over 20 years.butise said:Soon to be an ex long term customer 😂😂I wonder what percentage of Skys customers simply accept the price increase!
But I was staggered a few days ago ,when talking to another relation who has never haggled - he was paying Sky £130+pm ,shortly to go up to God knows what !
Yep, a friend of mine pays Virgin £150+ PCM (and that was the price a couple of years back) and despite constant badgering from myself over the years, pays it. I've long given up trying.
My Sky call will be next month although I'm not looking forward to it this year, the Glass fiasco helped me last time, I suspect I'm not going to enjoy the conversation with the wife about cancelling it. 15 years+ going down the drain soon I think.0 -
I used that number and phrase and gotkashavsehra said:

There’s usually a link on the Sky website although it’s not been active recently. I used a Facebook messenger chat I’d used previously.butise said:
Where is the chat line, is in on WhatsApp,if so what is the numberBirdman2015 said:Coming to the end of my contract, only got Signature and Netflix, currently paying £13.50, went on chat and was offered the same for £29. No thanks.
signature
HD
multiroom
UHD
for £30, this figure includes the price rise, 18 month contract, I’m happy with that.1 -
It doesn’t include Netflix but it’s a few pounds less than I’m paying now and it excludes any price rise in the next 18 months.Bakey72 said:@butise If that price includes Ultimate TV Add On (Netflix) it’s a good deal. If not still slightly too much for standard Sky channels even with multiroom. Signature only channels don’t have a lot of UHD content either.0 -
Hiya, long time lurker, first time poster. How long is the rough estimate on when Sky call you back with a proper offer after you hand your cancellations notice in? This is the first time in ever that Sky's unwilling to budge on a price and I don't want to get caught out in getting the whole thing cancelled. Thanks!0

Signature, Kids, Sports - Complete Pack, Cinema, Sports HD, HD, Multiscreen, Ultra HD.
Current price going up to £91 (was £58 in March 22, £62 April, £86 June - no changes to package).
Best offer via chat 2 March was £79 with £20 admin fee and 18 month contract.
I cancelled and 10 days later got a text message saying "visit sky.com/reviewmyoptions". It just takes me to the customer service screen with chat or telephone options. I haven't bothered for now and am happy to let it cancel.0 -
Just let it cancel. That's my plan. Ive had enough. The tv landscape has changed now with all the different streaming services. At the end of the day its only worth what you are willing to pay. If they want you to subscribe they need to respect you with a reasonable offerMistyMiser said:Hiya, long time lurker, first time poster.
