I had to wait until about a week before cancellation kicked in to get a good offer but it came eventually.  I have Signature, broadband, sports, hd for £50.50 (soon to be £58.50) which i think is a reasonable deal.  Ive been with sky over 20 years.

I have Sky Sig, Ultra HD, HD, Ultimate and Fibre 150MB for £54.85 currently. The best they could offer in retentions was £73. I've put the cancellation through and we'll see what happens.

It is a little frustrating that peoples time is taken up with all these “negotiations”, Sky must see a benefit from them otherwise they wouldn’t employ people to  carry the negotiations, these people obviously add to Skys overheads.

I wonder what percentage of Skys customers simply accept the price increase!

I think that once the link with Sky Tv is finally broken I may find I don’t miss it as much as I had expected.🤷‍♂️

A lot of people I suspect.  My sister for instance just can't be bothered with any of this swapping over, phone calls, live chat or comparison sites and I've even told her husband they are paying over the odds for so much but it's their money so guess they can do what they want. What does frustrate me is these annual increases.  If you are in contract you should be able to walk away for nothing.  BT have told me today my Broadband package is going up £3.46 per month but I'll take that considering my home insurance went down by £3.78 per month.  I've not long sorted a new deal with Sky though but still awaiting confirmation of any price rise.  It's still showing at the agreed amount of £55 a month on my future bills but my mobile bill has gone up from £6 to £7 on future bills so we shall see.

This is why Sky are scummy. I would happily pay a flat fee of £15 for HD TV and £10 for sport. Fixed, forever with no contracts and save all this nonsense of calling, negotiation. Why does every person get a different price/deal every day. Its just ridiculous. I'd come back if it was a simple set price like Netflix/Prime.

Until then I shall continue tosail the High seas.

Don’t hold your breath. However they will come for you. Took about 1 month for good deals to arrive. Email & letter.

I never used to "negotiate" until ~ 2015 after being harangued by my son in law for whom the regular dance with Sky/TalkTalk etc was a game he enjoyed! Now it's every 18 months!
But I was staggered a few days ago ,when talking to another relation who has never haggled - he was paying Sky £130+pm ,shortly to go up to God knows what !
