Ive been offered the below. It was £54 a month.

What do you think i can get them to agree on?

Sky Signature at £20.00 a month, (that's a £12 discount with an 18-months contract). Actual cost is £32.00 pm.

Sky Sports complete package with sports HD at £21.00 a month, (that's a £15 discount with an 18-months contract). Actual cost is £36.00 pm.

Ultimate TV Add on (netflix premium) at £6.00 a month, (that's a £0.00 discount with an 18-months contract). Actual cost is £6.00 pm.

Sky HD at £6.00 a month, (that's a £2.00 discount with an 18-months contract). Actual cost is £8.00 pm.

Sky UHD at £2.00 a month, (that's a £2.00 discount with an 18-months contract). Actual cost is £4.00 pm.

Multiscreen at £11 a month, (that's a £4.00 discount with an 18-months contract). Actual cost is £15 pm.

That would be a new monthly total of: £66.00

I forgot to mention with mine thy sent a VIP email before saying they could do current package for £65.  That's why I rang because I was paying £56.  Got them down to £60, then £57 then finally £53, that's when they wouldn't go any lower.  I'd live chat back and say it's not good enough and you are going to leave and see what they say.
  • I had been paying £78pm for my package/ultrafast BB.

    Went on live chat, three times over Dec, ended up settling 3 weeks before my end date for an 18mnth contract;

    Signature £22 instead of £32
    Ultimate £4 instead of £6
    Kids £4 instead of £6
Cinema £10 instead of £19  (plus a saving of £8 due to no longer paying for Paramount+)
    HD&UHD £6 instead of £12
    Multiroom £8 instead of £15
    Ultrafast + BB £34 instead of £50.  (500mb dload)

Total £88 instead of £140 @ full price. Also had the admin fees waived.

Probably could have gotten down a wee bit more but tbh, compared to the old package I was gaining Cinema, HD/UHD and faster broadband for an extra tenner.

I would add that the first two 'thinking of leaving us/retentions' guys were getting nowhere near what I was looking for. The third was much more helpful and willing to put in the work.

  • Cancellation notice placed 3 weeks ago. Went onto online chat and their offer was terrible, won't even post it here, but as the chat endee they tried to push Sky Stream (I'm currently Sky Q), as a cheaper alternative. I didn't have time to continue the chat so didn't get a price, but will go back and do so shortly, but was wondering whether anyone else has gone down this bath and got a good deal?

REMEMBER they will still put on the April increases - will push the initial basic offer of Sports + Signature up to £35pm with HD being another £6 on top.

Agreed, just wonder when the cut off point for the increase is?
BTW, I haven't taken this offer

I'm sure someone said you can now haggle a rate with no April increase earlier in the thread.
