My future bills were wrong though so had to call back. They couldn't get it right month by month wise for some reason so they are only charging me £19 Feb-March then it's £55 per month after which isn't bad as it was going to rise to £80 odd. Didn't think of haggling re price rises. Did you haggle an agreement with that Korkyb? Having said that my future bills for April and May show £55 so fingers crossed.
Just a hint, if you have Sky Cinema you can sign up to Paramount for free as a Cinema customer.
One thing I would advise is if you are haggling via live chat copy and paste the chat to a word doc,. Sometimes the "save chat" icon doesn't work, and advisors have the habit of offering something and it shows up incorrectly in your bills. I rarely seem to get a smooth transition with everything 100% correct so when I have to message back I can quote the previous advisor (keep their name as well0 and prove that such and such was offered.

Had a look at my parents' bill and it's shocking. Went on the online chat and they offered:
Signature £19
Sports HD £17
Superfast Broadband £25
Anytime Talk Extra £12
That is a saving compared to what they're paying now(!) but still doesn't seem great. I'd happily cancel for them but losing the TV probably isn't something they'd want to do as they're not really set up for streaming (and I don't want to have to explain it to them!). I don't know whether to just switch the broadband now and haggle the TV package later, or if keeping it all with Sky gives me better haggling power? I'm on the online chat now, if they don't offer anything better I'll be phoning them.0 -

Currently have Sky Signature, Cinema, HD and Ultimate with end of contract price increasing to about £54. Put in notice to cancel and half way through cancellation period received an email offer for Signature and Cinema at £25 however when I went on to chat it was an extra £9 on top to keep everything as it was so £34 in total plus £10 admin fee.
Not bad and was considering however when I asked (pressed) about price increase from April was told would 'likely' be about £3-4. So other than the first month or two effectively this deal is closer to £38 month for most of the period, and will go up again next April for final few months. Decided not to accept at this point. If I could keep same package for around the £30 mark I likely would (anything less than that definitely would) as would probably on average look to spend around that on separate subscriptions, even dipping in and out of some or with occasional discounted offer on passes etc.
Just wondering with two weeks left on Sky whether they are likely to come back with another offer (on chat they said would save notes to file in case I changed my mind) or whether it needs to be disconnected fully before likely to get anything less?0 -
It's been a couple of days with no contact with Sky, am I have got this offer from them:
Signature & Sports - £33
Ultimate - £5
HD & UHD - £6
Total - £44
I only really watch F1 on Sports. Considering F1 seems to be going the entertainment route these days, I have considered the VPN and F1 TV Pro route. Doing a quick calculation, it is probably only around £5 per month less than Signature & Sports at £33.
£44 is what I was paying before discounts started dropping off, and is tempting. It's valid for a few weeks though, and I know others will say better could be had. Is it worth messaging them to see if they can do better, or still just wait it out?0 -

Just off webchat (4 days till cut off date).
Agreed the following....Sky Signature £19 [standard price £32] £13 off.Multiscreen £7.50 [standard price £15] £7.50 off.Sky HD £4 [standard price £8] £4 off.UHD £1.33 [standard price £4] £2.67 off.Netflix £5 [standard price £6] £1 off.Not subject to the 10% price rise this year. (next price rise April 2024).18 month contract.Probably not the best deal ever but dodging this years price rise helps.
Was paying £44 which was about to go up to £64 ish.
Now paying £36.83 for at least the next 14 months. Was it really "everybody" that was Kung Fu fighting ???1 -
If people are considering iptv you may want to check out virgin stream only downside to it is you have to be in a virgin area and have their broadband you also can’t get multiroom but currently they are offering
Sky Entertainment Package £8
Sky sports £18.75
BT sport £10.00
Sky sports and cinema £28.75
sky cinema £10
kids channels £4.00
all on a 18 month offer and it’s a 30 day contract cheapest way currently to legally obtain the above content.
If virgin found a way to offer this as a standalone package without needing there broadband Sky would be right up against it.

We should be setting up a thread about renegotiating our dodgy firestick contracts.1 -
Had to have a couple of conversations as they got it wrong first time but after paying £56 per month last time out, after price rises they offered and I took.1
