I just cannot be bothered to expend any more effort to remain a Sky customer, like you say I probably won’t miss Sky once it’s gone, nature abhors a vacuum, and there are plenty of other entertainment service providers out there now, I am sure one of them will want my custom.Bakey72 said:I don't blame you @butise it isn't worth the hassle. If you did want to stay if they honoured the £30 you could always try putting a complaint in to them, however generally I've found their customer service across the board has gone downhill in the last 6 months. I want Humax to start making freesat boxes again instead of the poor Arris one they currently have, then I could completely cancel Sky. I dropped Sports and Cinema and don't miss those.

Hello everyone.
I have to say this thread has helped me so much so wanted to share my savings.
I have been paying £111.50 for:
Sky Signature, Sky Cinema, Discovery+, Ultra HD, Sky HD, Multiscreen, Sky+HD, Sky+HD, Sky Q 2TB UHD, Sky Q Mini box, Sky Q Mini box, Sky+HD
Sky Broadband Superfast, Sky Broadband Hub
Sky Pay As You Talk, Sky Talk Line Rental
This was going up to over £120 in April.
Been a Sky customer for 19 YEARS!!!!!
Called the Sky team to cancel, said they would throw in Netflix (As i currently pay £15 a month for Netflix separately) with 4 months free then £6 a month.
They said they could get it down to £109 a month initially, including the Netflix, so i'd be saving a fair bit by not paying the separate Netflix charge of £15 a month.
Worth noting my broadband is under contract until Nov 23 - this can't be touched.
I wasn't happy with the first offer so cancelled.
Then got a text 2 weeks later saying visit their site to review my options sky.com/reviewmyoptions
Just jumped on online chat and for the same package above, i got it down to:
- Sky Signature base pack £23 {£11 off} [standard price : £34] (new 18 min months contract)
- Sky Cinema £6 {£13 off} [standard price : £19](new 18 min months contract)
- Sky HD £5 {£4 off} [standard price : £9] (no contract)
- Sky UHD £2 {£2 off} [standard price : £4] (no contract)
- UTV AO {Netflix} £6 {£1 off} [standard price : £7] (no contract)
- Multiscreen £10 {£5 off} [standard price : £15] (new 18 min months contract)
This will sum up your TV bill £52 pm with an admin fee of £20 added to your next bill.
The original price of the complete TV package is £88 you are getting at £52 .
This offer is for the next 18 months only.
After the 18 months it will go back to its standard prices.
Also with your active broadband it will be £87.50 where TV will be for £52 and BB for £35.50
Pretty damn happy with this reduction.0 -
Re those who have both TV services and line rental/bband with Sky and are facing a large overall price increase - treat them as separate contracts when out of minimum term - only cancel the TV portion and wait for the offers to come.
The phone/bband portion -DON'T cancel ,just find a better a deal with another ISP and get them to handle the transfer of services if Sky haven't come back with a decent offer.
IF you cancel the broadband it can lead to a whole lot of pain and delay getting back online whereas the reversal of a Sky TV cancellation can be actioned by Sky in a few hours.1 -
Never pay the £20 admin fee.2

I realised this after! Damnit - but alas, still happy with the deal.Mat_Lock said:Never pay the £20 admin fee.

Tried to sting me with a £30 admin fee when I haggled in December. Got it down to £10 plus free install of Sky Q instead. Worth it as my dish is very awkward to get at !!Mat_Lock said:Never pay the £20 admin fee.0 -

Friend at work has just accepted this deal.
As others have said, you can't seem to get amazing deals like used to!!......
Sky Signature standard cost is £34 but you'll pay just £23 a month (that's a £11 discount with an 18-month contract) with £10 Admin Fee
Sky sports complete pack standard cost is £34 but you'll pay £19 a month(that's £15 off for 18 month contract) with £10 admin fee
Multiscreen usually £15 but you'll pay at £9.50 (that's £5.50 off for 18 months)with £10 admin fee
Total £51.50 a month

Are Sky now charging £10 admin fees on every element of a package? That seems v steep if so.mikeizz said:Friend at work has just accepted this deal.

Does anyone know if price rise notifications are still in the process of being sent out? I haven't received one yet, but my previous offers ended last week and Sky automatically applied new (less generous) discounts, so I don't know whether I'll be impacted by a price rise as well. I just want to be fully armed before haggling.
